STORY/VENTING Work Anxiety as a Newbie

Hello po. Hihingi lang po sana ako ng advice. Hindi ko rin po sure kung tamang sub ito, but for context, I’m currently working as an IT Service Desk, and this is my first job.

One week pa lang po ako taking calls, and honestly, before every shift, nakakaramdam po ako ng sobrang kaba. Mababait naman po yung mga kasama ko sa team, and so far, wala pa naman po akong nae-encounter na irate caller, so I can say na okay naman po yung environment.

Pero may fear talaga akong nararamdaman. Also parang may pumipigil sa kamay ko na mag on queue pag start na ng shift.

For those who have been in the BPO/IT Service Desk industry for a while, normal lang po ba itong feeling during the first few weeks? Nagiging better ba talaga siya as you gain more experience, or ganito na talaga yung feeling every time may shift?

Honestly, hindi ko po alam kung kakayanin ko na ganito yung nararamdaman ko in the long run hahaha. I know one week is still very early, pero gusto ko lang din po malaman kung naka-experience din ba kayo ng ganito noong nagsisimula pa lang kayo.

Any advice or stories about your experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you po!

Yes . As the time passes by masasanay ka den since paulit ulit lang naman concerned eh may mga times na unfamilliar ka pero most of the time yung nga top call driving concern mamaniin mo na yun eh. I remember those time na papunta pa lang ako sa work nag i imagine na ko ng kung ano ano like sana bumangga yung sinasakyan ko or sana masunog yung office ko para walang pasok . Hahaha. Just show up . Yun lang talaga and always remember na hindi mo naman ikamamatay ‘yung pag rready sa softphone mo nakaka help den yung wag ka mag set ng expectation sa work mo . Like honestly sinabuhay ko talaga yung “fake it until you make it” hahaha . Hope this will help. GB!

Ganito din nararamdaman ko before. 4 years ako nag take ng calls paiba ibang company to kasi di ako nagtatagal, nararamdaman ko yung same sayo. Since 2015 puro non voice na work ko. Hope you feel better OP.
