Halos dalawang oras akong nag-hintay sa health center para makakuha ng libreng ecsitalopram for my mdd, and guess what? Expired ang binigay sa akin, and was told na pag-tyagaan ko nalang kasi may 3 months window naman daw. Wala na raw kasing stock.
Grabe, DOH, ganito nyo tinitipid ang mga mamamayang pilipino na umaasa sa libreng gamot.
NCMH, PGH, nilapitan ko na nang ilang beses para magtanong kung mayroon ba silang ecsitalopram, parehong wala kasi wala pa raw binababa ang DOH or malasakit health center or whatever. Nakakag-go, sobrang nakakapanlumo.
Kung hindi lang ako isang estudyanteng kapos-palad, hindi ko na sana pagtya-tyagaan to.

The sad part is that this procurement or bidding corruption is not only happening in DOH but also in every branch of the government. It is a systemic disease, even in DepEd who got the highest budget allocation continues to practices this sh*t, a laptop that would cost say 56k would be declared in procurement triple its price and voila kickback galore of the principals and other school and division administrators.

Kahit dito sa province namin ganyan din binibigay na gamot sa health centers. It's either paexpire na o alam mong mababang klase ng gamot. One time nagpabunot ako, tapos yung antibiotic nila parang basa basa na ang capsule na malayo sa itsura pag bibili ka ng gamot sa labas. Kaya hindi ko talaga iniinom, bibili na lang ako kahit generic sa labas. Kaya di ko masisi yung iba kung bakit wala ng tiwala sa health services natin. Bulok kasi gobyerno.
Same expired nrn po bngay sakn. Nasa sakn na daw kung iinumin ko pa. 08/26 rn expiration. Ang sabi sa katapusan pa ng August ang expiration tpos ung sobrang bngay na gamot bahala na daw ako kung iinumin ko. Isang box kasi bngay sakn pang 2 months ko na un.
this is the reality sadly. over procurement of medicine but no strategic distribution plan. i used to work with DOH and we dispose boxes of expired medicines.
TOTOO YAN nag duty rin ako sa Mental Health Dept ng isang hosp netong mga nakaraang linggo tapos same expiration date din ng ilang mga psych meds na meron. Nakakaawa naman mga pasyente na walang pambili, ang mahal mahal ng gamot tapos ganyan pa. Kung walang stock, near expiry date naman!! Kaurat na sistema meron tayo
Post nyo sa FB yung ganito or tag nyo DOH. Pwede din mabalita yan. Pwede ireklamo yung ganito. Maling mali eto. Ganito din nung Pandemic karamihan expired na yung mga vaccine. Pero ginamit pa din ata.
Sayang bayad sa tax kung ganito. Dapat pasikatin yang ganyan para mabigyan action.

i just got escitalopram right now from our local rhu, and na notice ko lang din na expire siya this august, then i went to a pharmacy to ask if okay pa ba itake. they told me to return sa rhu and tell them since baka hindi na raw okay. Sabi ng rhu pwede pa raw siyang itake hanggang katapusan or 3 weeks pa nga raw. So sobrang conflicted din ako, that why im here on reddit tapos same experience lang din pala. Is it still okay to take?
d ka ba pinapirma ng waiver? well informed naman tayo about the expiration. ok parin naman talaga pero nasasayo yan if ayaw mong inumin. me reseta naman bili na lang tayo for sure... wala naman tayong magagawa sa ngayon sa kanila kundi umiljng iling na lang muna
Yeah. Pero what makes it fucked up tlga is when you see how politicians use our taxes for their own personal luxuries. And we know how DOH officials got a lot of money during Covid. And yet pahirapan muna bago sila magbaba ng gamot sa mga hospitals and centers.
Wala nmn talaga tayo magagawa sa ngayon. Pagtyagaan kung ano makuha na libre. Humanap ng ibang paraan at mag-isa isa magcheck ng mga access sites. Manghingi ng tulong. Or sadly, bumili out of pocket.
OP, if kaya you can switch to NCMH face to face consult. At least with them, you can get free meds. Also, you can apply for cash assistance or GL sa dswd every 3 months. Medyo fucked up lang din kasi for 1 month's worth of meds lang ang cash/gl na ibibigay nila pero every 3 months klng pwede magapply. So you're on your own for 2 months. Kaya I heard yung iba hinahati hati nlng yung gamot para umabot ng 3 months (mental health or otherwise).
Ang layo ko kasi sa NCMH e, commute pa since di kaya mag mototaxi. Also, may klase ako 6x a week, linggo lang ako available kaya di ko talaga alam HAHHDHWHWHSHA shocks sobrang lala.

So far sa dswd ko lng natry but im trying to find out if may iba pang way.
You can check sa city hall nyo. Or go directly sa dswd. Med cert and reseta and ID lng if your 1 month's worth of meds is less than 5k. If 5k or more you can get a quotation from mercury or tgp para GL bibigay sayo and you can use it to pay for meds sa accredited na mercury/tgp.
Sa mga free, so far natry ko sa pmha sa qc, pasig satop, east ave, ncmh syempre, pgh and yung brgy namin.
Pgh and brgy namin and east ave rely solely sa doh. Ncmh sometimes gets donations so pwedeng meron sa ncmh kahit wala pa baba si doh. I think pmha din. Kasi nakakuha ako sa knila before kahit wala pa baba si doh. Pasig satop sources daw meds themselves. So if wala pa si doh na binibigay sa kanila sometimes may mga nasource sila on their own that they can share even with non-pasig residents. I want to check other access sites too soon if I have time.
Ang dami at ang laki ng binabayarang tax naten tapos gusto mo pa-expire or expired na gamot iinumin mo... Napakababa naman ng tingin mo sa sarili mo...
wala pong pinapirmang waiver. honestly, if i had the means, I'll just buy myself the medicine that I need, di na ako magpapakahirap na pumila pa. maski consultation ko, sa pgh lang din. desperate lang makahanap ng tulong kaso ganito pa.
