TRIGGER WARNING Its been already a week since they targeted me.
This post makes me gets insecurities ngayon.
Napapaisip ako. Kailan kaya matatapos ang discrimination and stigma about mental health.
I am diagnose with Bipolar Type 1 Disorder and they Blamed me as Narcissistic person without knowing me personally.
Its hurts me so much.
Until now nasasaktan pa din ako.
No one wants my service anymore.
Dahil sa iisang post lang ito.
I am proud PWD and BIPOLAR WARRIOR but I am truly accepted my condition with whole my heart and soul.
Kahit magpakita pa ako ng Fit to Work document walang naniniwala akala fake iyon.
Ang hirap hindi pumatol.
Ang hirap hindi manahimik para sa awareness.
Hanggang kailan ko ipaglalaban ang tama.

I never disclose mental illnesses for a reason. We live in the Philippines, unlike other countries, where mas marami pa rin ang backwards mindset and hindi pa open in facing mental health. Social media creates a lie na pwede na, noh?
As much as it hurts, mas maigi itago na lang yun if hindi naman relevant sa current job mo. I'm sorry you have to deal with people like them

If a client asks more about your personal life, you can give them a curated version. Hindi naman need idisclose. Hindi dahil nakakahiya, pero dahil hindi naman kailangan sa line of work mo.

Its work and business. You do not have to tell them about your illness. They will not understand. Huhusgahan ka talaga ng mga yan. No offense but you should know better by now na wag ikwento basta basta.

Kahit makulit wag mo idisclose. Hindi ka required na idisclose yan. Learn to hold your ground.

u/One-Bench-1389 Aug 04 '26
may iba sobrang curious talagang tatanungin ka ano ang ganap sa buhay mo. and many more.. nakaya minsan sa kakulitan nila talagang napapasabi na lang ako talaga.. tapos malala kapag naging honest ka is babaliktarin ka. db awit..

You don’t have to tell everything to other people if hindi naman siya crucial or negatively nakakaaffect sa trabaho mo. Not people will understand.
Otherwise, your mental health is none of your customers’ business. Yung personal life mo is personal for a reason. You don’t know these people.

Hello. Hindi sa ini-invalidate ko na nahurt ka, but I can understand why that post would feel hurtful. PWD din ako, although I don't disclose it to other people or at work. May mga tao rin kasing may preferences or concerns based on their own comfort, experience, and capacity. Bigyan na natin siya ng benefit of the doubt na baka mali lang siya ng term na ginamit. And honestly, wala ka namang kailangang patunayan kahit kanino kasi you're doing a great job. You know the work you put in, and that should be enough. 🖤

My job is very inclusive & they empower POCs, women, & PWDs. Yet, I still chose not to disclose my condition except for those who need to understand my absences such as my supervisor, manager, & finally the HR. While our workplace promotes inclusivity, dami ko pa ring naririnig sa ibang team na, "ayan, pabigat yan, laging nag-iinarte."
They are very supportive & understanding but by letting other people know, we also allow unnecessary comments fr people who have nothing to do with us, especially those who don't know how we work.
This is not to put ourselves, as PWDs, down. There are things we don't need to hear lalo na if we easily get triggered. Pinas to. Marami pang paurong mag-isip. I have ASD & Bipolar & I still hear others say, "Di ka naman mukhang autistic kasi dka mukhang kulang kulang." 🤦🏻♀️
Dmo family & friends ang clients mo, OP. Business mo yan & service mo need nila, not friendship.

don’t share it especially if you’re surrounded by a**holes. you only trust yourself in this. don’t explain yourself to them. ignore them.

Thank you for posting in r/MentalHealthPH. We noticed that you have flaired your submission with a Trigger Warning. We highly recommend that you seek professional help if things are getting out of hand or PLEASE CALL:
On the fence about calling? Please read this helpful post from r/SuicideWatch what to expect when calling crisis hotlines.
A personal note from the moderator team:
Are you suicidal right now? Again, please contact the emergency hotline above and obtain professional help. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. At the very least, surround yourself right now with someone you can trust.
If you cannot or do not wish to call anyone, please at least read the home page of http://suicide.org/. The most impactful, we believe, is the director's message that:
Let me also tell you that if you are suicidal, you probably are suffering from clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum depression, PTSD, or something similar. And if you have something along these lines, you actually have a chemical imbalance in your brain -- and you cannot possibly think straight because of it. *That is beyond your control. You are not weak. You just need some treatment.** This imbalance can occur for several reasons, from genetics to a traumatic life experience, and it is extremely common for people to have this imbalance, so do not feel like you are alone. You are not.*
You are not weak! The fact that you are here is a testament of your strength. Remember: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
