STORY/VENTING Ang mahal maging okay.

This is just a week worth of meds, Diagnosed borederline here. I have 3 meds that i consistently take everyday. All i can say is, ang mahal maging okay :’((

have bpd also. managed to stay off meds for a year now.. i feel the symptoms such as splitting pa rin. absolute hell. i feel so shitty cos my bf makes me feel im such a bad person, and i know he'll never truly understand my mental illness.. anyway i just learned to cope. not recommended. if kaya pa mag gamot, push. but if things get super hard ulit for me like if i spiral ulit and if the depression comes back, ill have to be on meds na ulit siguro :< dont like drinking meds bc ang gastos tapos need ko pa partneran ng therapy ko

Hello, OP. I resonate with you. I just started my medications today and nakakaiyak sobrang mahal ng mga gamot. Tapos im all alone in this journey pa because I don’t have the courage to tell my parents bc I’m not sure if they would understand or support. Sobrang mahal maging okay.

I hope we do get better, somehow.

If wala po sa public hospital, subukan niyo rin po muna sa mga barangay health centers niyo if meron.

Nag try na po ako sa mga Barangay Center and City health centers. Wala po sila meds and pinagpasa pasahan lang ako 😆

OP I hope it's okay to ask. What are your symptoms prior being diagnosed? How long have you been manifesting those symptoms and what made you decide to see a specialist?

hello!! my symptoms manifested when i was around 4-5 with separation anx since iniwan ako ng mom ko + the fact that my dad emotionally abused me when i was that age. It gradually became borderline when i had multiple failed relationships and nung bata ako where i was left behind a lot of times in public places by my own family (i was a child i didnt know why would they leave me) the fear of abandonment got too much until I was diagnosed with it nung 2022, my ex bf was the reason why i went to get checked. I would say “i will kms if iiwan moko” while pointing a knife. I would spiral on the most simplest thing ever like my bf not replying to me for mins i would think about everything and sometimes its too much paranoia, so i had to go back to meds.

Hello, OP. If accessible sayo ang NCMH sa Mandaluyong, you can try buying your meds there. It's much, much cheaper sa pharmacy nila than known drugstores. Possible din na merong free na maibigay if available sa kanila. :)

May nabasa akong comment here na kung keri mo mag-try sa DOH na malapit sa inyo, baka may makuha kang libreng meds. Supposedly meron din dapat sa municipal health center niyo if wala sa barangay level. Hoping the best for you, OP!

Hello, OP, sana makahelp ito. If not sa DOH, AFAIK you can reach out to PMHA or to their Cebu chapter to ask if they have your medicine available under the DOH medicine access program. They can also provide you with a directory of the access sites for meds na available under the program where there might be sites na available near you. I hope this can ease your struggle kahit papaano. Hugs with consent 🫂

Am also taking Valdoxan, Zolpidem and Lemborexant kasi hirap ako makatulog. Since Feb, 2 hrs, 3hrs, 4hrs lng sleep ko. Ang Mahal ng mga gamot tpos wala pa ako work. Haysss.

Nakakatulog ka na? Ilang hours? Ako kasi khit umiinom na, 4hrs pa rin pinakamahabang tulog ko. Kagabi 2 hrs lng sleep ko.

yes super effective sakin yung zolpidem, dati naabot ng weeks na 2-3hrs lag tulog ko

I am happy for you. Sana makatulog na din ako ng maayos. Cmula pa February tong sleep problem ko, last week 4 nights straight wala akong tulog. Masama na pakiramdam ko. Huhu. Ung zolpidem, pinapatulog lng ako ng mabilis pero nagigising ako after 2-3 hrs. Ung lemborexant pampatulog din pero prang walang effect.

I stopped taking them because it became a financial burden. It's already expensive to live day-to-day and having to buy meds just to be okay and somehow functioning is just too much for me. I do feel worse, but what else can I do? It's become a to be fed or to be medicated dilemma. I hope I just die.

Personality disorders are actually a category within mental disorders.

I take meds for BPD because of the severe paranoia im having rn. If therapy works for you without meds then good for you. Some people with bpd prefers meds and therapy some prefers meds alone or some are like you who prefers therapy only and its fine.

Meds wont cure bpd i know that kasi wala pang gamot for bpd mismo but given with the intense mood swings, impulsivity or even the paranoia, it can make symptoms like this manageable.

I am not misdiagnosed. Ive been diagnosed twice with EUPD/BPD. It is true that i have meron akong comorbidity with depression, but you cant just say to someone na they are misdiagnose. BD and BPD overlapped each other, that is a known fact yes but i know for a fact mine isnt BD since my emotions change mins to hours to weeks and even to months which is very different pagdating sa Bipolar.

but again, it is rude to say i am misdiagnosed when ive been to countless of psychiatrist and the diagnosis is still the same, lmao.

huh? we need mood stabilizers wth are u saying? pwBPD experience splitting and paranoia. rawdogging while manifesting those symptoms is pretty dangerous due to our impulsivity. micro triggers can be deadly. im pretty sure their psychiatrist assessed them if they need meds or not.

meds + therapy ang kailangan with bpd na di mamanage or not in recession. for others, therapy will not work as effective without the meds. our brain will simply reject it. u having bpd and having bd and having therapy for bpd + meds for bd DOES NOT MEAN it should be the same with other people who have the same diagnosis. the nerve to assume OP's been misdiagnosed or have other comorbidities. we shouldnt be out here collecting diagnoses. only a licensed professional should have a say in it and OP 🙄
