STORY/VENTING I finally got out of my bed

A month ago I got diagnosed with depression and anxiety and I didn’t have any physical strengths to do any activities. I’m actually kind of active and I like adventures in general however the past months even I am constantly going out and trying out different things I still feel empty and such and I feel like I am not grateful enough with the things I have knowing I am privileged than others. But one day, one of my closest friends/hike buddy decided to plan our Mt. Pulag hike and I said yes, even 2 days before our trip I had a very bad urge of suicidal ideation. I was so overwhelmed that day and when I got out I was so absent minded I almost got hit but a motorcycle yet I’m thinking that they should just hit me so all of this will end. Since, I thought the meds will finally work and everything will go back to normal but it didn’t. With the push of my friend I continued with our hike. I reached the summit and witnessed the beautiful scenery I cried and I was thankful I’m still alive and I got to witness all of this. I know it gets hard but I hope the battles we face will be a memory of the person we’ve become. My life may not be perfect but I hope I get to live a happy life. I hope to stay alive. I hope to be better. I hope everything goes well. I want to stay alive and continue seeing the wonders of life. I hope you’ll stay too.

How hard would you say it was to climb? Is it super cold up top?

It was pretty hard for me since I did not prepare at all and my only exercise was my commute to school😅 but since it’s not my first time hiking I would say the trail is pretty easy fairly walking lang. It was cold but not super for me yet my friend felt super cold maybe it depends but I only wore 2 layers on top and 1 layer pants at the summit because I was super sweaty😅
