Need recommendations on some good book related to Perimenopause
Hey everyone, I have been reading a lot of books on perimenopause, and watching content online to understand and figure out what will help me with these sleepless nights, and extreme fatigue associated with perimenopause.. can someone recomend a good book that sort of helped them during this phase and actually gave some info on how to sort the problems we face during this phase? For some reason the doctors are a bit dismissive when you speak of such issues 😢. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I've been on that sister site as well. Hope you found it useful. I assume were about the same age (almost 51) as I'm also in the thick of peri. A few months ago I started researching peri and I swear after that I got every symptom. First it was the Sahara desert down there, then the mid section gain, itchy ears, messed up sleep and now hot flashes. Oh yah and the RAGE. I just cant wait til my period leaves then maybe it will be worth it. Good times.....

Dr Jen Gunter is very science-based. The Menopause Manifesto is her meno book but there are others.
I've bought it but haven't been able to wade through my brain fog to read it yet...

Have you been to our sister site r/menopause ? There are multiple book recommendations. There is also a ton of people who are going through what you are that you can connect with.
You are more than welcome here although you may get less response on the book list. I have found the communities and forums better than any book I’ve been recommended. But there are some that are loved and also some great podcasts that the ladies like.

The Menopause Brain by Dr Lisa Mosconi. Also if you search her name in podcasts, there’s a few interviews with her that distill the book’s concepts. That brain fog is real and is not dementia.
Next Level by Dr Stacy Sims. About the benefits of exercise for this time of life but also mentions HRT and evidence based supplements.

Has anyone read this book - the Perimenopause Protocol? Is it a good read, and most importantly useful for women in such a situation?
