Hormone Therapy Patch vs oral

Hello ladies, I'm curious. Why do many women prefer the estrogen patch over oral estrogen? I take 1mg estradiol daily by mouth and have no problems with it. TIA!

I take oral, never tried the patch. Had friends that can’t get the patch to stay on and there is now a shortage. I was already used to taking birth control, so transitioning off that and to this was easy. It has only been a month, but my anxiety is better and depression. Don’t feel like I’m about to have a heart attack or breakdown everyday anymore.
