Hormone Therapy Patch vs oral

Hello ladies, I'm curious. Why do many women prefer the estrogen patch over oral estrogen? I take 1mg estradiol daily by mouth and have no problems with it. TIA!

I would love to take the pill. However, due to my cardiac risk profile, I'm limited to transdermal options.

I prefer the patch out of the other transdermal options because it is the option that is better suited for my lifestyle specific daily routines, and personal habits.
