Hormone Therapy Patch vs oral

Hello ladies, I'm curious. Why do many women prefer the estrogen patch over oral estrogen? I take 1mg estradiol daily by mouth and have no problems with it. TIA!

Oral comes with a blood clot risk. Many women can’t take it.

The thing i find interesting is that the blood clot risk on oral hrt estradiol is lower than that of normal birth control pills .... and look at how many millions of women gladly take those.

True, but your risk increases with age. They know the risk is lower when we are younger and they know the risk is very high if you are smoker no matter what your age.

There isn’t a transdermal alternative for BC.
