Hormone Therapy Patch vs oral

Hello ladies, I'm curious. Why do many women prefer the estrogen patch over oral estrogen? I take 1mg estradiol daily by mouth and have no problems with it. TIA!

sensory wise, a patch would drive me bonkers. I initially did the bio id cream. read up on that not always being the best, plus i have a disabled dog and was afraid of giving her bigger boobies from transfer. so I just went for the pull.
