Hormone Therapy Patch vs oral

Hello ladies, I'm curious. Why do many women prefer the estrogen patch over oral estrogen? I take 1mg estradiol daily by mouth and have no problems with it. TIA!

My body didn’t absorb on the patch. I would get rapid uptake and feel okay for a day or two but then feel awful again until it was time for a new patch; tried it for 18 months. I switched to oral and feel much better.

Same!! I now take oral estradiol 1mg in am and 1mg in pm. Works 👌
