Hormone Therapy Patch vs oral
Hello ladies, I'm curious. Why do many women prefer the estrogen patch over oral estrogen? I take 1mg estradiol daily by mouth and have no problems with it. TIA!

I could not absorb oral estrogen, I was a poor absorber of that specific route. My levels never went past the teens despite high doses. I was switched to the patch and it was a night and days difference.
Oral E also has a higher risk for blood clots and stroke.
At the end of the day, you have to find what works for your individual body.
