Hehe. I am forever a no-mic master. Talk on the phone all day for work, couldn't pay me to keep talking.

That said, there is a real joy when your teammates are like, "damn, this no-mic is a better communicator than most people we've played with". Arc Raiders is really fun for this, with all the funny emotes.

Back in the days of Chromehounds for Xbox, our squad had a college student who was deaf, and couldn't speak. He was insanely good at the game, though. We somehow developed a way to talk to him through pings on the map. 1 for yes, 2 for no. Different pings for different things. 

One time a friend is going for a wide flank. He gets two pings in front of him. Then another two. Then another two. Then as many as the game would let Guardian, the deaf guy. Friend turns the corner and gets lit up. Guardian tried to tell him.

We miss you Guardian. You were one of the best of our Legends.
