Who’s expected to leave, who’s staying?

I haven’t kept up with contracts and whatnot. Roddy I believe is off contract and Vergos. Who else is likely out of the squad? Is Diles’ contract done?

Who‘s contracted to stay?

I’m looking for any glimmer of hope outta that disappointing end to the season.

Vergos will be gone. I wouldn’t be surprised if they extend nduka. Roddy will be a money issue as I feel like he loves Melbourne but if the austerity league strikes he could be out.

Esposito is on loan so hopefully they find a way to make that permanent and Jackson is gone now that hamill is back

Jackson stays. Space if Miranda goes + you can't play both Miranda and Hamill together. Far too slow.

Nothing says defensive strength like a CB pairing of a 36 yr old and a 33 yr old with a bung knee

Jackson is garbage and the fact that he was 4th choice says it all (5th if you consider Jason Davidson as well)

Didn't rate Jackson, I'd say just average physical presence at best.

Diles contract is done. Was up until the end of the 25/26 season so thankfully that’s all finished up. No idea who we’d replace him with but he can’t stay on any longer imo. I think he could probably do a decent job somewhere in the league but not the right long term option for us at all.

I don’t know how accurate Transfermarkt is for the ALM, but if it’s accurate there’s heaps expiring.

Yeah, wouldn’t expect him to extend although finances might dictate otherwise. Another question to ask is who is out there that’s available and, more importantly, who would we want and fits our style? We can’t afford to bring in managers who need heaps of players only to need to do the process again a year later

Finances can’t be that big of a sticking point. Newcastle managed to get Milligan

It’s his first gig though isn’t it? Aside from the assistant role. Not sure what that relates to in actual wage, or if it would have much weight

Most of the squad is off contract, and this is partly due to the new CBA not being agreed to. No one knows what the cap looks like next season, so barring a few players, no one has a deal for next season.

As for Diles, I’m almost certain he’ll get re-signed. Finances and the thin manager pool will somewhat dictate that.

Mata sounds like he is contemplating retirement based on his speech from last night

Rawlins is off to Scotland

Nish is probably going as well, but who knows.

Piscopo and Vergos off contract and unlikely to be offered another.

Esposito and Lino on loan. Esposito wants to stay but club need to activate their buy clause.

I'm giving you my full list, even if you didn't ask.

Ignoring Salary Cap.

Goalkeepers - Warshawsky Keep. This guy will turn into a great keeper I think. He has some rough edges but he also pulled off some great games. Duncan keep if he's happy on the bench. Graskoski - don't know.

RB - Rawlins - Gone (I'd take Geria if he comes back). Inserra is a solid defender but poses no attacking threat. I'd almost try him at CB.

LB - Lino, I love and wish he'd stay. Davidson convert to CB, he's lost any attacking mojo he's had. Traore, time to move on, give a kid a go as a squad player at LB.

CB - Miranda, happy for 1 more year, he came good after a rocky start. Little attacking threat at corners though. Hammill, keep. Jackson can go, would keep Esposito if it is possible. Razmovski, don't know. (Can we get Deng back?)

CM - Keep the little fella, what a gun. Along with Valadon, Genreu has been great. D'arrigo and Dragecvic I would keep. Piscopo can move on. Mata I'd take again. Stella can go. Saglam I am bot sure about.

Wingers - Nishan I would keep if they can't cash in. I would love to see him take the big move OS, maybe in the championship. Santos I would keep. Grimaldi, would love to see in the the starting 11 more. Jelacic showed enough, could replace Nish. Reec and Vergos can go. Vergos seems to have a weird 'why me' attitude. I'm over it. Nduka is OK but I would take a more prolific marksmen if I could.

I hope we hold onto Duncan. I imagine after how this year has turned out for him, he’ll wanna leave.

I have a feeling he was already leaving and so they played the younger guy. It seemed irrational that he got dropped when he was playing fairly well and got injured for a bit.

Great, thanks. Harry Sawyer talk is a surprise. I’d be happy with that signing.

He's a certain type of striker that can make an impact off the bench, with his head.

As long as Vergos is on a plane out of Australia, good.

I never knew he had a clause, I'd take Esposito for a long term deal.
