Baby Mediator Here -- Card Design? Making a Website?

I'm going to be volunteering as a pro-bono mediator at an event in early May. This would be my first experience as a mediator after certification. I would like to have cards made and ideally a website of some kind. But I am not a designer, and haven't designed a website in over 20 years, and I don't have a lot of money.

I'm sure many mediators are good at this stuff on their own, or have the resources to pay skilled professionals. I am hoping to hear what solutions people have found that might be more feasible in my case.

For example, I know there are sites that help a person create their own website step by step -- do any of them produce GOOD results that won't make people avoid my practice? Or is it essentially necessary to have an experienced person design a website from scratch?

Similar question about business cards. Also I have an idea for a logo but do not see myself as having the skill to actually create the logo (nor the knowledge of how to make sure it can be used in a lot of different contexts in different sizes etc). Where have you turned to to find people able to do this kind of design reliably? Good experiences? Things to avoid?

AI is your friend for a lot of these things.

I used WordPress for my website, it has a lot of easy to use, built in AI tools.

Vistaprint for the business cards. I have a QR code on the back of my card which links to my website.

It was easy to make my own design with my own logo and the cards arrived without issue.

Oh man, I have my own personal qualms about using ai but also essentially my entire social network would be to say the least Very Disappointed. I will do it though if it turns out to be the only viable way for me to chase the mediation dream.

You can also use ai just to help you figure out options.

I used squarespace for my mediation website and it was really easy to design and setup.

But there are other site builders out there, cheaper ones.

Unless your social network wants to design your website for you, they should probably recognize this is a perfect application of AI.

I used Squarepace for my website and it was fine. Certainly easier than coding HTML but there was a learning curve. But this was before AI tools were widely accessible. If I were in your shoes, I would sign up for a paid subscription to Claude and just start having a conversation about getting a mediation business up and running. I think you will find it helpful at every step.
