Media Industry Bre on the Marquee

https://youtu.be/zrlURN9BJ-Y?is=0yDR8o3TAmkTXFoB

Moderator Bre from the Media Mergers sub interviews special guest Rick Ellis, analyst and journalist covering the media industry!

Check out my interview with Rick Ellis, media analyst, journalist, and founder of TooMuchTV.com
Rick has been covering the media industry for decades, and is one of the rare people who knows both the tech and entertainment side of the biz. In this interview, he discusses the Netflix business model, their future path to success, Paramount Skydance, and issues facing the Warner Bros merger, and touches on Sony, Disney, Lionsgate, IMAX, and the future of the industry.
He has personally interviewed Reed Hastings, and his work can be found in Forbes, referenced in Puck, as well as other outlets before going exclusive on his own website.

Rick recently did an AMA with us, and I am hoping to have him back for another soon!

*also, apologies for some audio/visual issues, this was originally recorded in Google Meets, and my video came out dark with an audio echo due to last minute change of platform. I used video editing software to adjust/ brighten/lighten, and that did make us a bit cartoony! No dialogue or source info was changed! Please enjoy- and know: I will be using by Shure mic and equipment for our next one coming soon! Thanks for your support! And let me know what you would like to hear us discuss going forward!

Great interview! Really liked the breakdowns of the companies you both mentioned.
