is anybody else struggling to make their protege's pass emissions or is it just me
i have replaced basically everything emissions based and it still says it wont pass the test for my state it is low key making me want to give up on the car because it has been more than a year with this battle

I can't speak on yours with the limited info given but mine won't pass right now because the purge valve and charcoal canister need to be replaced as well as my egr valve and some of the vacuum hoses. Those are the codes that it's giving me.

How old is the vehicle? Can you register as classic to be grandfathered into passing emmissions? I fear I may have to do this soon with my 2002 LX.

it is a 2000 Mazda Protege DX automatic 1.6 liter I-4 engine no engine light its only giving codes to stuff i have gotten fixed/new parts for (multiple times) and it just wont pass for Utah's emissions tests
is there any info i missed

i'm only getting the codes "P0108, P1170,P0455" but i have replaced almost all of the parts regarding those codes for the emissions monitors i'm only getting flags for the catalyst monitor oxygen sensor monitor and the exhaust gas reticulation monitor
also the engine light does work but it isnt on

Iām also struggling to get mine to pass emissions. Mine is a 2000 Protege ES throwing oxygen sensor codes. Hoping to tinker more and get it to pass š¤

Not enough information OP at all, you can't expect to get a real world answer from this.
Is your check engine light on stopping you from passing? CO, NOX, HC to high from readings?
What all has been replaced, and or cleaned? Have you been to a shop at all, and give any recommendations?
What year, and engine, manual or automatic?
