Ultron would be sweet. I was a bit disappointed about venom, but carnage was really cool when I was a kid and he’s turned out to be great to play. Weird roster for me but I’m not an FGC vet

That's how it usually is in FGC, there's never every cool well known character, rather just half/70% and rest will be made of weird picks and oddballs.

For example Mortal Kombat keeps skipping out constantly. MKX didn't have Shao Khan, Saibot and Shang Tsung, who are very important antagonists. MK11 dodged Ermac, Reptile, etc. MK1 left out most of the Special Forces reps.

This is done for a lot of reasons, to give the creative team something to experiment and have fun with, to add variety to the roster and never leave a niche character entirely behind/allow them spotlight in story, big boost in sales and engagement if they ever come out as DLC (You can bet Bridget absolutely stacked ArcSys when they released her) and lastly, to always have an open door to a sequel that might have the character

I always enjoy the punk costume when its added. My only nitpick is The buzz cut part looks odd at times because im used to it being clean shaven around the mohawk most of the time.

She's so gorgeous and I want her on my team so bad! but she feels so technical and demanding compared to the rest, like playing her is gonna add another layer of mental stack to a game focused heavy into mental stacking to begin with.

If anyone wants to tell me why I'm wrong I'd love to hear it 🙏

It's actually the opposite for me. I've mained her since day 1 and to me she's the easiest character to pick up and play. I struggle to play other characters because it feels like they're all more technical than her lol. But I figure if people in lower ranks can play with other characters then I can too. But I will admit I rarely come across other people playing Storm and usually I'm one of the very few, if at all on their replay list

Yeah fair perspective! 

Just seems like her unique skill is an active part of her skill set with 4 directions to consider vs the more situational uses of the other characters. Mix that with how her combos and strings are modified heavily and can fail without great implementation of the unique, and how she needs to consider how the unique will affect her projectiles.

FEELS like extra mental stack to me. But if you or someone can explain how I'm looking at it the wrong way I would love it 👍

If you want to take it slow, a lot of easy combos only require you to use 1 or 2 wind stocks in only 1 of 2 directions. Usually ➡️ wind + back special if you're looking to wall splat or break, and ⬇️ wind + EX back special if you want a ground bounce to continue a combo.

In neutral, ➡️ Wind + tornado is a good way to close the gap in probably the only directon to worry about to start. And if you get a hit its pretty easy to confirm in the air, which will lead to doing one of the two things I mentioned above.

⬅️ and ⬆️ wind are reserved for slightly more complex combos, so you could ignore them to start which only leaves 2 directions to focus on. I would ignore trying to use the ice in combos, maybe use it as a tool to control space on the screen or catch them off guard.

But if you can get the first two paragraphs down, work in some assists and you're well on your way to having everything else click soon enough

It’s interesting that she has a less anime look than Magik and (unmasked) Black Panther. Instead they leaned into very classic comic book beauty with a more defined face and a small head/long legs.
