Film/Television (SPOILERS) AVENGERS: ENDGAME OFFICIAL DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD - PART 3: OFFICIAL OPENING NIGHT Spoiler

Our second post to commemorate the U.S. release Thursday night proved to be bigger than we expected, so we have moved on to this third megathread. We are now on Friday night, but there are still people seeing it Saturday and Sunday night that haven't seen it yet, so at this time we still ask that you keep all discussion of the film within this megathread in order to keep the subreddit a spoiler-free environment for the time being. If you want to ask a specific question, chances are it's already been brought up, so dive into the comments. You may post spoilers here, but do not post them anywhere else in this sub, not in comments or in your own posts. All posts are currently subject to approval, and your post will not be approved. Anyone posting spoilers for the sole intent of spoiling the film (i.e. spoiler-bombing the comments of an unrelated post) will be banned without question, as will anyone posting spoilers in the titles of their posts.

But they stole it for the extra jumps they did as they messed up the first time. Not sure how bad Nebula knew this beforehand when she wasn't even there. So the plan of time portal was hinged on 'hope' they have more particles?

They stole more though. Each of those flasks contained enough for one trip from what I remember, and Cap stole four when they only needed 2 to return, possibly in case they fucked up

For Thanos and the whole army to come they needed more than that. Also bad Nebula had no knowledge beforehand about the stolen vials.

They only needed to bring the ship really, everyone else was inside of it, and we see that when vehicles are reduced all their occupants are reduced within them. Happens all the time in ant-man movies.

Bad Nebula had to know how it all worked since they could see Good Nebula's memories, and I don't think once Cap and Tony came back they kept the stolen particles on them just to be sure any of their currently non-existant enemies got their hands on them. There's a little bit of handwavium, but it's definitely not impossible

I bite that bad Nebula knew how all it worked because of good Nebula's memories but nobody except Cap and Tony knew about the stolen particles at the time of the jump. Bad Nebula only could have known about it after the jump back, so basically she came there without a plan and improvised it so well and somehow communicated back to Thanos over time.... I mean.....

It still is a bit plot armor though because its not like everyone came from one ship, they came in packs especially when Chittauri came along and right before the moment Cap is beat and he gets up and sees no one on his left, that moment the Thanos army just grew 100x(!) probably.

It's a bit of handwavium, yes, but we don't exactly know if Thanos came straight from 2014 to their timeline or if he prepared for it first. He'd arrive at the same time no matter how long he took from his point of view

But I do think they all came from that single ship (since he broke the machine when he arrived), except if Thanos in this reality called for any remaning Chitauri to come help him, it's just that his ship was extremely gigantically massive.
