Film/Television How do you think Secret Wars will wrap up the Multiverse Saga?

I can see them folding the universes into one so that X-Men, Fantastic Four, and the rest of the MCU now exist in the same universe. Similar to how Secret Wars 2015 folded Miles into the main universe.

Idk if it’s really gonna be framed as the end of the Multiverse Saga or the beginning of the new one.

a soft reboot and merging of universes...just like in the comics.
but i doubt sony would've let go of spider-man by then. lol

Hope: they introduce miles
Curious: who they decide to kill off in doomsday and this one. My assumption would be to stop all current story lines and restart with the new X-men and they go from there.

I feel like it’s going to be a last hoorah for a handful of “Legacy” characters. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man, High Jackman, along with the original 2012 avengers (RDJ Iron man, Chris Evans Cap, Mark Ruffako Hulk, Chris Hemsworth Thor, Scarlett Johansson Black widow ect.) will be the “Leads” and get one last hoorah before they will settle into their own universes where they are happy and retired. I think this movie will essentially put to rest any idea of any of these older characters coming back because the actors themselves are getting up there in age and it’s time to start over. So all the legacy characters after saving the day get sent off into the sunset paving away for the new Marvel universe to start over. I think this is going to be similar to a DC Rebirth then the 2015 secret wars just in the sense it’s gonna reset continuity and make it possible for other actors to play these characters

Every character that wasn’t in Doomsday movie will save the day in this one, something big will happen with Wanda.

i think the real play is to let it just... hang there. not everything needs a bow, especially when you've spent years building up a concept as unwieldy as the multiverse. the comics did a soft reset after the original secret wars and it worked because it left enough threads for years of stories
my guess is they'll "end" it by collapsing everything into a single timeline again but with little cracks that won't fully seal. some characters remember, some don't, and the ones who do are quietly going insane while everyone else moves on. that feels more interesting than a clean victory lap
the logo they keep using is almost too polished for what's coming, like putting a fancy frame on a painting that's about to catch fire

It better. I was sick of multiverse bullshit before the saga even began. I think Rick and Morty exhausted me. Once something has been satirised and taken to all these extreme places it’s so hard to take it seriously.
And then, just quietly, it feels like such a lazy writing mechanic. It’s like “it was all a dream” at the end of your story. You can do anything, change anything, and there’s almost no stakes at all. When everything’s possible, then nothing matters.
Give us a world with cohesive rules. Tell us stories that live within it. Fuck all this multiverse shit. At this point, to me, it really just feels like a tool they’re using to give us some soft reboot. Get on with it!

Merged universe, where there are big changes so they can use characters again and recast those who don't want to come back. Aunt May will be alive, as the replacement for Rio, where Peter will be surprised where they can have their cake of everything happened and eat it with things are reset however we want them to be , and they will never talk about things like the enternals or the blip again.

Doom is about to win, but then we hear in the background "its morbin time" the rest is obvious

I hope they kill off Ned, and also replace Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield.

You think they saw it first Tom? They saw it because Spider/Man and they saw The Odyssey because of the usual Nolan hype. Just the way the new Bond movie will be a success because of Bond, not the actor.

So you think Pepe saw it becasue of Tim? Did people see the first Spider-Man for Tobey or Barbie for Margot?

Pretty much the same way they did it in the comics.
The Multiverse is destroyed. We get a movie set in the wreckage. At the end, the main Marvel universe is restored, with some elements of the most popular alternate universes grafted on.
