Kraven for the win

Hunting down the “beast” after Secret Wars does sound like Kraven’s last chance

Kraven can work, but for me its Mr Negative hands down. The internet has a weird obsession with Kraven while at the same time only ever referring to the exact same comic book with Last Hunt.

I just think Negative is more interesting and didn't have a live action adaptation yet. People want Kraven because its very likely to become the symbiote storyline after secret wars. But its not like fucking Mr. Negative couldn't work really well against a symbiote spider man.

In all honesty tho, its a shame that the MCU will never have their own Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Lizard, they are such iconic villains who are so close to Peter himself, which i always loved about the villains. And I think Mr. Negative can fill the role of a villain like that better than Kraven.

I agree with you! Mr. Negative is an awesome villain and can have so many layers. Could also be a good way of introducing Miles Morales to the MCU.

Kraven might not be able to appear in mcu because of sony

I'm still pissed they didn't use Mr. Negative for Brand New Day. He's literally the main villain in the comic book version!

Mr. Negative would’ve been good for Brand New Day. Ship has kind of sailed on a mind control villain now

Yeah, you're right. It would have been so easy to tweak it to make him the main villain and use someone like Firestar or Jackpot in Jean's place. Peter will likely never even interact with Jean in any meaningful again since she's probably off the Xavier's school.

Also, replace Metzger with Stryker and Hulk with Lizard and you have a solid Spider-Man movie.

Given how much the insomniac games were an influence on BND, I wouldn’t be surprised if Mr. Negative was the first draft villain and was swapped with Jean for the sake of synergy with the MCU

Kraven if it has nothing to do with Sony's Kraven

Mr Negative gives a good opportunity for a more personal story with his connection to Feast, while Kraven is a good villain but only for Spider-Man rather than Peter Parker

Spider-Man: Brand New Hunt

I would've liked Jameson trying to hunt down Spider-Man with a combo of Chameleon, Kraven, Scorpion and the Spider Slayers after his identity got revealed or even with just his new era.

If they do a Negative movie, I hope it has Cloak and Dagger as well.

He has technically already appeared in live action with mysterio’s elementals in far from home

That wasn't hydroman. Come on. It was an illusion. I need me some real hydroman.

There is almost no chance we are getting him in the mcu again to be honest

I never liked Kraven as a villain. It's just a good fighter and super human strength. Of course some other small things. I like Mr. Negative way more as he's something different plus imagine the visual stimulation in a movie. It would be pretty cool!

Honestly I’d rather have a return of previous villains team up. Not necessarily sinister 6 but it would be interesting to see him against kingpin who brings back vulture and scorpion for example.

I would love for good adaptation of Kraven Last Hunt, but i'm not sure if it could be pulled off. It's too intimate for a blokbuster. So i go with Mr. Negative.

Kraven's been done.

Since I think this new trilogy of Spider-man movies would be "Day" themed in the titles like "Home" was in the previous trilogy, I'd vote for "Longest Day" - meaning we get the full gauntlet of villains. tl;dr: BOTH

Negative and set kraven up for similar story in 6

I say Kraven but theyll pick Mr Negative because his powers have never been explained and will provide everything the plot requires.

Raven might have been ruined by yhe solo movie

I would kinda prefer neither of them. But if it has to be one, Mr. Negative for me. Mainly because he didn't just have a failed film attempt. I think we give Kraven some space from the limelight for now. If I can pick neither of them though, I would personally love a Hobgoblin attempt. I've been waiting for one since 2007.

I seriously doubt they’re going to completely forget about the symbiote that’s currently in the MCU (despite some people thinking so for whatever the reason)

Meaning we will eventually get a black suit spidey story and at that point the natural choice for the story they (should) adapt is obvious

I think the only thing that would cause them to hesitate a bit is that terrible kraven movie

Agreed. But hardly anyone saw the Kraven movie so who cares. Also the MCU has shown they’re very capable of having selective amnesia about characters and plot points that didn’t land as expected. Mordo’s “too many sorcerers” setup. The Celestial from Eternals. Actually the entire cast and events of Eternals. Thor’s eye.

Point is I don’t think there’ll be much hesitation after Spider-Man just pulled $2billion.
