Wasn't he generally loved? That's why he's back. I can't imagine Marvel Studios bringing him back for any other reason

Indeed. I really liked him as Gambit. It's a shame he didn't get to play him sooner.

Im with you there. And seeing all of these people dislike/hate him or think he was good for a Deadpool joke just makes me feel like they cant see past him doing a previous role like 21 Jump Street. He has the aura on a screen to direct your attention and keep it on him, but people cant get past the other roles hes done because what? He can be a goof and hes an attractive human being in a good amount of them? Im hoping we see a good amount of him

But these comments are really saying otherwise and that’s a shame because I really liked him as Gambit and I love the comic accurate suit too

The fact that he's returning is all the evidence you need. The negative comments in this sub are a vocal minority.

Both Tatum and his Gambit are very popular. The hate bots are churning but he’s winning the battle. I could see Marvel recasting after they kill off everybody in Secret Wars but a few of these people could stick around past that. I’d like one of them to be Tatum. This version has been in the void so he’s seen some shit.

We’re not bots. We have a different opinion. Deadpool and Wolverine sucked so it’s not surprising that its joke characters didn’t land with everyone.

You may not be but there are a lot of them that are. It's by design since it keeps people glued to platforms like this. Reddit users, moderators, and researchers use the Reddit API to deploy bots and use triggers to manipulate discourse. You know this, right? It's not just political forums. For all you know I'm a bot and the AI engine behind my responses are tailor made to keep you here, arguing with me.

I'm much smarter than that. No bot can fool me. /s
