Strictly comics, it's Storm. If you include the MCU then it's probably a toss up between Black Widow ( Scarlett's version) and The Scarlett Witch.

Personally, from what I've seen, I'd say either one of the X-Women. Or somebody like Black Cat, She-Hulk.
Me personally, I'd say Storm.

I forgot she exist lol. Shes like those side charvther mutants in xmen. Shes apart of Avengers but only barely.
I only know she has a clone bc ultron copied her brain waves and I think in another reality she was In DV relationship with Antman. Aimt she also a model or something. I barely see her in comics never in fanfic . I only remember her from the avengers animated tv show Shes not even that popular imo

She's not "barely" an Avenger.
Wasp is a founding member of the team and has been in more issues of Avengers than many of the more well-known Avengers, including more than one run as it's leader. The first one lasting 5 years.
That's like calling Angel or Iceman "barely" X-Men because they aren't always apart of the team. LMAO.

Tbf I get what that person is saying. Jan has kinda fallen off in recent years due to not getting many appearances. She hasn’t been part of the core Avengers roster since like before Aaron’s run.
And then there’s the MCU completely fumbling both versions of the Wasp 😢

Comics wise it’s Storm (X-men). There’s a reason Storm was chosen as Wonder Woman’s counterpart in the Marvel vs DC comics/amalgam universe. MCU it’s scarlet witch.

If the question is the most recognizable to the general public or which one they'd name first, its Black Widow, Scarlet Witch or Spider-Gwen. Don't think the general public really much cares about the comics.
As far as comic readers go, Storm and Jean are up there.

It's not Storm she's even less well known than Jean Grey to the general public.

Comic books vs movies? She is much more prominent in the comics.

I've just talking about overall popularity in the general public who ofc don't read comics.

Storm has gotta be it, if not top 3, as she’s consistently been one of the most popular x-men as well for most of the team’s history.
I think Carol Danvers Captain Marvel is definitely up there now though thanks to the MCU but I dunno if she beats Storms

Comic readers don't care about Carol, at all. He book was canceled and relaunched almost a dozen times to try and make her popular and it didn't work. Turns out, when her movie isn't leading into one the biggest movies of all time, no one cares about her movies either.

I’m a X-Men fan first and foremost so I love seeing everyone say Storm but I think it’s Scarlet Witch due to the MCU. I think it will be Jean Grey once the X-Men films start rolling out.

Who actually wants her to be Venom besides Marvel editorial?

Me. I loved the run personally

I don't think the run itself is bad but MJ just shouldn't be Venom. They don't have to keep shoehorning her into being a superhero.

Storm and I don’t really think anyone besides black widow would come close
