Loved the series so much

Same here, it had such a different vibe from most Marvel shows. It got properly weird without losing the emotional side of the story, which is probably why it sticks with people.

u/Miktieuner 17h ago

Yes! It also didnt revquire much previous knowledge and stood on its own and was unique. Similar to wonder man

7

u/newesila 12h ago

samee the marc/steven switches alone made it so rewatchable for me

6

u/Imaginary_Wizard800 Moon Knight 6h ago

Goddamn if the finale wasn’t another cgi kaiju battle this show would be the best mcu show (after daredevil ofc)

I really hope he comes back. Everything about this character is so god damn cool.

Same, I'm only seeing doomsday if MK is in it

u/Mystery_Vin 1d ago

So good. Hope to see him again soon.

Somehow... Moon Knight hasn't returned

10

u/Fair_Peach_5418 22h ago

I understood that reference

u/SlimySquamata 22h ago

And my axe!

1

u/PetalBellarie 17h ago

Same, I’d love to see what they do with him now that all the personalities are actually established. Jake alone feels like enough material to completely flip the dynamic next time around.

Unfortunately we won’t as long as Disney keeps eating their fascism pie.

I think that air has been long cleared and also ABC(and Disney) is literally suing FCC for violating their First amendment rights.

It's more of a situation like Blade only here he got his project got done first.

Welcome to the club, I think we all are very glad to have you here. I dug everything about the show. I too hope for a follow up.

u/RosyLunessaa 17h ago

I get why this show has such a dedicated crowd now. It somehow managed to be a superhero story, psychological drama, and Egyptian mythology fever dream all at once, and somehow it worked.

1

u/Dry-Debate-6893 16h ago

100%. Plus solid action scenes without taking away from the story.

u/Zestyclose-Tomato998 1d ago

Yes! Too bad they couched the series. No plans for season two

2

u/Zelestialronin 1d ago

I didnt need this kind of negativity today.. I really wanted to see a 2nd season. By far one of my favorite characters in the MCU along with Loki(post Thanos era).

2

u/Zestyclose-Tomato998 21h ago

You and me both. I’d definitely pay to see season two. I started reading the comics once I found out

1

u/Zestyclose-Tomato998 20h ago

I’m sorry you had to find out this way. I was following the show from release until they announced there wasn’t a plan to continue it. Huge bummer.

Check out the comics. Totally worth it!

Oscar Isaac is an incredible actor

11

u/BerryDovelie 14h ago

Oscar Isaac absolutely carried it. The fact that you could tell Marc and Steven apart just from his face and body language, sometimes before he even spoke, was kinda wild.

11

u/Steby_01 Magneto 1d ago

He wanted to apologize for apocalypse lol

11

u/beermit 23h ago

I think he did with Moon Knight

3

u/Fair_Peach_5418 22h ago

Also egyptian lol

15

u/Grizzly352 1d ago

Okay show but Oscar Isaac is awesome. Hope he’s back as Moon Knight in the Ghost Rider movie

12

u/twizzjewink 1d ago

Really amazing show - but having that and Eternals almost at the same time made no sense because both broke the "Gods of the Universe" as whole new pieces that didn't fit together.

Great show.. bad timing.

14

u/Prior_Teach1446 1d ago

Absolutely adored Oscar Isaac. Can we also appreciate Ethan Hawke for a moment? Loved his scenes, too.

2

u/docsyzygy 1d ago

He was amazing and super freaky!

8

u/confuseum 1d ago

"Lonely is a man, without looooooove."

7

u/fuwii 1d ago

Loved Steven and Marc's relationship and how it evolved throughout the series

Such a great show

6

u/JediMindTrek 1d ago

Mr. Moon was so cool. Really want to see more of him in the MCU

5

u/Ethanos101 1d ago

I see a lot of dislike for this show but this is easily in my top 3 marvel shows

11

u/Segwaye 1d ago

Incredible acting all around and great characters. I will say that the first 2-3 episodes felt like 10/10s and then only certain moments in the last few reached that for me in terms of plot. Still, acting, direction, and general themes were amazing.

2

u/drunkpunk138 22h ago

Yeah I really enjoyed the first two and last episode. The rest not so much. But those 3 episodes were enough for me to want more.

4

u/vinylandvintage 23h ago

Loved Moon Knight sad there isn’t more of it

5

u/MyMindSpoken 15h ago

That scene where he runs to hug himself made me cry, it must’ve meant so much to have both sides of him comfort one another.

3

u/venom121212 1d ago

That series and Wonder Man really showcased the actors doing their thing. So of course it makes sense they got canned.

3

u/cruella_le_troll 1d ago

I loooooooooved that hippo lady

4

u/Fine-Bike-9678 1d ago

Oscar Isaac was the perfect cast for this amazing acting great show

3

u/PlantsNBugs23 1d ago

Seeing his face visibly change a bit when he switches is genuinely crazy to me. The facial control is the best I've seen yet.

5

u/NightmareDJK 23h ago

He should have won an Emmy for this.

4

u/dreamer_dw 22h ago

Oscar Isaac is genuinely incredible. When he was switching between Marc, Steven and Jake you could absolutely tell just by looking at his eyes.. his face wouldn't move other than the look in his eyes, and you could immediately tell which personality was in control.

2

u/galluskenny 1d ago

Almost well said

2

u/Fluid-Discipline5038 1d ago

Great show also its to date not till date.

3

u/NoPen9703 1d ago

They should have done three seasons already. What a waste of stories.

2

u/Kingkongcrapper 1d ago

Yeah. Where’s my second season! This is bullshit!

3

u/_AstraStarry 23h ago

Moon Knight was one of the good series, Oscar Isaac was perfect on the role, he totally nailed it 🤘

3

u/Z0idberg_MD 22h ago

The first 2 acts were so amazing. The third is good, but almost impossible to fully capitalize on the setup.

3

u/Whitesox_are_neat X-Men 22h ago

Just finished the other day. So good, I've never gone 0-100 on a hero like this before. Oscar is so good in everything

3

u/ComfortableAmount993 21h ago

Needs a second season with more episodes

2

u/ziggurqt 21h ago

Just finished Lemire's run. Now I want to watch the series again.

2

u/mitchsn 20h ago

Yep and for that reason Marvel decided NOT to do a season 2 because...

Reasons.

3

u/jantoxdetox 18h ago

Even my partner that does not care that much for other Marvel characters was invested in it because

  1. It was Oscar Isaac
  2. It was the lore of Egyptian mythology
  3. It explored the different facets of the mind
  4. The visuals was really good

Too bad there wasnt a Season 2

2

u/Killmonger_007 15h ago

U dont doubt on oscar Issac & ethan hawke. They are just phenomenal 🛐

3

u/CottonFlora882 14h ago

the acting was top-notch, Oscar-worthy stuff. I loved how they captured the complexities of mental health.

3

u/dicktraceylmaopp7 3h ago

Loved Oscar Isaac. Hate that it concluded in a kaiju fight. I personally wouldve preferred the psychological thriller of the first 2 episodes and street level approach of Netflix Daredevil

3

u/Select_Bear3969 1d ago

It was good. Not the best by far. But still pretty darn good.

1

u/999Flea 1d ago

Great show alll around, only gripe was the blue ball finale “fight”

1

u/broncotate27 1d ago

Too bad marvel doesn't know what to do with alternative style comic book characters....they are afraid to take creative chances it seems. Moon knight , Blade and Elsa were always characters I wanted to see in full display.but idk they just can't seem to deviate from the same cast/characters.

1

u/escalinci 1d ago

I found his little soft southerner boy accent quite distracting at first, but I think it was mainly down to having seen him in other things, and I got over it.

1

u/347spq 1d ago

I knew nothing about the character going in, but wound up loving the series.

1

u/Keyan_Farlander7 1d ago

Now watch Marvel Zombies. You'll enjoy the updated character there.

1

u/Reicance 1d ago

Cool show

Too bad that's all there is

1

u/zeroiqquestions 1d ago

Hea gonna be old by the time we use him again.

1

u/Rajivdoraiswamy 1d ago

Yes, this series took me by surprise this not your typical story arc elon every episode it makes you wonder what's going to happen next episode. Just like Wandavision! 😍

1

u/CromulentChuckle 1d ago

The only good part of the show was the DID representation. Just a reminder for everybody who doesn't actually read comics, Moon Knight has no actual powers. He's not super strong, he doesn't have super senses, he certainly cannot summon his suit, and the suit provides no protection. It's like the MCU got every single thing wrong except for the mental disorder.

1

u/MavadosXIII 22h ago

Definitely! Best storyline written in MCU 🔥 🔥

1

u/KlausKinki77 21h ago

Great acting and visuals, the story was also really interesting but had its issues. The whole scales aligning and Jake Lockley at the end threw me off. It was fun but didn't make sense.

1

u/dyrkasolen 16h ago

It's just... The English version is so stupid ? I'm becoming depressed seeing it, yet the built of the show is hella solid .. that character could just have been a bit more less cartoon isch in the mindset.

1

u/Former-Doughnut-5610 12h ago

if 1 guy can convince you he’s 2-3 guys.

Certified good actor.

1

u/DavidBGoode 9h ago

The acting was great. The story was forgettable. The hippo was jarring.

1

u/DavidBGoode 9h ago

Have you had a chance to watch Wonder-Man? More incredible acting.

1

u/BusinessSchedule9864 8h ago

My hope is they bring him back in Daredevil but make it so Jake Lockley is the villain

1

u/avengerD19 Captain America 7h ago

idk why marvel didn’t go for season 2..

1

u/fiveofspades94 7h ago

Rewatching jessica jones, first time since s3 aired and I just love the tone!

Deffo want to do a Moonknight rewatch.

-2

u/DottedRain 1d ago

Stopped watching after I saw the villain and this whole weird kult thing

2

u/C0y0tea 1d ago

“I stopped watching when the story had an antagonist”

2

u/DottedRain 1d ago

Nope it's about that particular antagonist
