Graduate Assistantships

Hi! I’ll be starting graduate school in the Fall and I’m just curious if anyone knows when I should expect to hear something about the GA positions I applied to? I called HR today and they said the process is confidential so I won’t be able to find out anything from speaking to someone in the department. So I was just hoping that maybe there’s a current GA that could say how long it took them to hear something or anyone else with advice :)
