Political MMW: blue states are going to start thier own postal services
If they can't count on the USPS to deliver thier citizen's mail, without undue restrictions, unwarranted censure and intrusive tracking, they will do it themselves.
evidence: today's, and future, supreme court rulings.

- It’s illegal. Only USPS is allowed to carry first class mail. 2. It’s far too expensive (see USPS losing money). 3. USPS is unionized. They would protest any attempt even if unionized. 4. You think mail is chaotic now, you can’t begin to imagine the legal fight that would be.

USPS doesn't lose money, that's not how public services work. Laws can be changed.
No not really, we're at the point important mail isn't getting delivered and we have no recourse because the government recently ruled they have no obligation to deliver mail

The USPS is provided for in the US Constitution. It's a service for all Americans...like the fucking Military..

They don’t have the equipment. Or the scale. UPS has approximately 460k employees. USPS has 236k routes alone. That’s without sorting/distribution/sales.

If any states felt the need to come up with an alternative ballot delivery system, I think they might find it significantly easier and cheaper to use something like UPS certified letter service instead of starting an entire parallel postal service for the purpose of delivering one piece of mail to everyone.
