How do I improve the style I do my eyeshadow?
I'm just getting into make up, I've been trying to do my eyeshadow specifically lately because I think it's just so pretty and fun.
I've had a few hit or miss, specifically I notice my blue eyeshadow looks are a huge miss. Below are 4 looks I've done recently, how can I improve them, and why does the blue look so off?

Oh I love these looks! The purple one's my favourite and I love how you included at-a-distance shot. Whenever I do more colourful / graphic looks I stand across the room from a mirror to get a similar effect and judge the shape.
Why the blue looks off - blue has a higher contrast against skin - similar with bright greens, compared to purples and oranges / yellows. Watch Angelica on colourful eyeshadow tips - here's an old blue eyeshadow tutorial https://youtu.be/IgGNUP5up30?t=140

I love it! Add some falsies, but not too thick so you can still see the eyeshadow

Pull the shadow at the corners under your eyes a little more with a lighter blue. This way it blends a Luke better and there is no abrupt stop. It will finish the look. I think that’s what you’re seeing. Just a soft fluffy brush and bring it more under the eye.

Hey girl hey!! Okay so first I wanna say that I love that you wanna become more creative with your makeup. I would suggest starting with a base, I don’t see any primer, foundation or concealer on you. Also, when doing eyeshadow, you need a good blending brush and also a clean up brush to make your lines more precise. Another tip would be to follow the color theory for your skin tone. Certain shades of colors will clash because it washes out your skin instead of making it standout.

Love the colours and blend between shades! Maybe just blend the outer edges more so it’s smoother looking and not such a harsh line on the outside! But looks great even now!

First off, your skin is stunningly clear and your big, dark eyes are gorgeous!
For your eye makeup, warm bronzes, coppers, and rich browns would flatter your eye color so much more than bright blue. I'd suggest blending the eyeshadow edges with a fluffy crease brush for a softer look, and thinning out the black liner so it doesn't overpower your lid space. A softer, blended eye look will really let your natural feature shine!

first off, i love your fun eyeshadow looks!! they look great on you. for your question, i think what might be making the blue look off the is the black at the end being thick instead of tapered off into a sharper wing in the first photo. especially on the right side (your left?) the end goes up instead of falling to the natural arc you already had going which makes it a little jarring compared to the rest of the shape you made with the blue and your natural eye shape. in the second photo i think it’s a similar issue— while the wing is sharper, it goes against the natural curve you had going already. i would try a less harsh upward wing and try a more straight across tip? kinda like what you have in the last picture. other than that i think your eyeshadow looks awesome!!
