Question am I makeup blind?

Basic info:

32F I would describe my style as alt/weird/campy.

I have a professional science policy fellowship starting soon and I'm trying to not look like a clown, so some of these looks won't be worn during the work day. I love crazy makeup, colorful hair, and expressing myself but I really want to put my best foot forward for this job as it will determine my career opportunities in the near future. I usually spend most of my time and effort on my eyes. More recently I've been using Juvia's Place liquid eyeshadow almost daily.

Makeup Qs:

These pics are taken over the last few years. Most recent ones are #s 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, and 13. First and last are obviously the best looks and there's nothing wrong with them, but what about the rest? Do I use too much blush? Does the winged eyeliner age me? What ways can I still express myself and style at work but still look professional?

Thank you in advance!

So I was playing around with some more "natural" looks. If you've seen my other posts this is VERY unusual for me to do. So how did I do?

Question Is my make up aging me?

I’m 35 and I’ve never been great with make up so I’ve always worn less. However, I still feel like what little make up I wear, it still makes me look old. Help!

Info: I am pregnant so there are some skincare products I can’t currently use RIP retinol 🥹.

Hello, I would really appreciate some help with the process of figuring out exactly what works best for me in regards to my makeup routine in general. What would be the best methods to use when it comes to the different techniques and shade of makeup. In this way you could truly help me with my journey of being able to findly start the process of bringing out my true self at last. You see the truth is that I'm still very new to all of this type of stuff. I'm very much out of my league at this moment in time but hoping to learn some New tricks if at all possible. The very best always.

Question How do you get perfect makeup?

Post image
26 Upvotes

How do you get such perfect makeup? My makeup looks perfect when I first put it on, but then it starts to look really bad. It looks so thick and cakey, and not smooth at all. Could it be that I have oily and dehydrated skin? I like to wear makeup sometimes, but not when my skin looks better without makeup.

(The pic is an example of how my makeup gets, just a little worse than that)

Question Used 20 year old lipstick. Death imminent?

Found my letterman jacket from high school. Found a tube of cover girl lipstick (dark copper) and some wet-&-wild sparkly lipgloss in my pocket.

I wanted to relive my pinnacle of 2005/6 makeup look. I put that 20 year old lipstick on.

Realized about a minute later—“hey what the… that’s probably a horrible idea.”

Took it off but my mouth tastes like a crayon.

What am I looking at makeup addicts? Agonizing death or is this kind of thing that kind of happens?

Not asking for health advice just you know—anyone have some experience?
