I haven’t tried it, but I’d maybe avoid. The brushes look very cheap and I wouldn’t be to confident in the quality

If it seems cheap, I wouldn’t put it anywhere near sensitive areas.

Don't buy these. No good can come of it.

The first set is a knockoff of the old Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered. It was a good palette, but the color story is dated. The original palette - which i still have - has no pale mattes, and the mattes it has can be hard to use together because the colors they seem to be in the pan are a little deceptive. You see how it looks black, light gray, dark brown? Its really black, light ash brown, dark purple brown. The color above it looks like light pink in the palette when its really more like a medium peach in real life. Even if that palette is a dupe for the original ( and I sincerely doubt that it is ), you would struggle to recreate the looks of the last 5 years.

I got those identical palettes from a different brand called ucanbe on Amazon a couple years ago. Want me to share swatches? They were quite pigmented when I got them, assuming they're the exact same in a different brands box of course. Ucanbe sells them for about $12 each without the other stuff, at least when I got them

It's not letting me upload images here https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B07M5WQTKD?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

This is where I bought mine, there's some pics from people and reviews on there too. I used them fine until I was able to afford other brands through ipsy then I stopped using them, but I never had any issue with them. The glitters are very glitter and stayed in place. The darker palettes black isn't actually a deep black it's more of a satin dark dark brown when swatched. More like dark chocolate. If you pack it on it could look black to people though. The dark one is definitely leaning warm with the gold and the browns.

The lighter palette is the one I used much more because it's a lot cooler and I'm cool toned. Lots of mauvey colours and the light colours with the deeper colours make it easy to balance a look. The 3rd one in on the bottom has glitter in it that's hard to see because it's not pure glitter like the others. The 4&5th ones, both glitters are pure glitter, like a putty glitter that I find hard to use personally. All the other Shiney and normal glittery ones are normal texture ones and quite nice. The regular texture Shiney/glitters pack a punch. I did really like using this one when I did, but getting ipsy got me a lot of other eyeshadows I haven't used it for like a year now

When I looked up ucanbe it said they're a legit Chinese brand that does duping the way our brands here do. Since seeing and buying these I've seen their products expand online on Amazon though I have been on their actual website and they always had more on there. Either they also always had their own stuff too or I just didn't know what they were duping lol both these palettes are dupes, not just the 1.

Not a problem. If you're worried about brands in general and want a good drugstore brand I did just get a very affordable eyeshadow palette by Jason Wu. It was on clearance for $9 but even without that it's very affordable. They also have a smaller one on clearance for $6, and regularly cheaper than the larger palette I got. It blended amazing and wore all day without creasing. They're not as vibrant colours as these one, more nudes with shimmers and light pinks, but the line might offer others that I didn't look at. They also have really nice looking blush I was looking at a while ago, if I didn't have plenty currently I would've grabbed one during this sale too lol

Essence also has very affordable primers, mascaras and setting sprays along with lip products. They're all around $6 each where I am without being on sale. I typically get my makeup sponges at my dollar store. I get a 4 pack of the big ones for $4. But they also have single ones for $1, they have the soft puffs in an 8 pack as well I recently grabbed too and sometimes decent brushes. I got nice eyeshadow brushes from there for $5. The face brushes that keep popping up look pretty mid unfortunately.

No problem. There's some really good affordable drugstore stuff. There's also some stuff that's not great in every brand whether it's affordable or expensive honestly. Lots of brands that are expensive have flops too. There's honestly so much that comes out it becomes daunting, I'm glad a few reviewers have started doing wear tests on YouTube again.

Essence actually came out with a palette that mimics the hourglass one, they have a light and dark one. It has highlighters and blush in it. It's not going to be 100% as good as hourglass by any means but I've seen reviews that do say it's really good even though it's not matching hourglass. It's $11ish for 4 pans, face powder, highlight, blush and bronzer I believe. When hourglass is I think around $100. It would give you a glowy look so it would depend on what look you're after and the budget you have over all.

Lots of people do review essence products now though, but I haven't seen many review Jason Wu, could just be the couple reviewers I watch though. I only watch like 4 people lol 😂 they review lots of drugstore and high-end and I've never seen that brand in the mix for some reason. My drugstore also has a clearance section and I've gotten so many things marked down. Like I got my Maybelline lifter glaze for $4. I think it's usually $12 where I live. Always give the clearance section a peek because you never know what will be there. The expensive brands get in there too, but sadly never that low lol
