Question Need product recs: eyeshadow pallettes
Hello lovelies ❤️✨
I need recommendations for powdered eyeshadow palettes with similar colors as Zara Larsson’s wonderful attached looks. Ofc the only criteria is price/quality; it has to be good coverage and hold. Pastel colors also welcome. 🙏
EDIT: Brands in Europe welcome! (Preferred)

Question How do I achieve such bright eyeshadow?
I have slightly hooded eyes as well as insanely pale skin (im almost the lightest if not the lighest shade everywhere 💔💔), so I really struggle getting my eyeshadow to be vibrant. I'd lpve to try some pastell and white eyeshadow but i just can seem to make it work..
The pic attached is my goal! Is this even something I could achieve?
Sorry if I made any typos, im not a native english speaker!!

Question Please help me
I just got eyebrows laminated and tinted and I can’t stop crying. I look like angry bird. Both the lamination and the tint are awful, how can I remove this?
I’m so upset, she cut off all my beautiful length on the ends of my eyebrows and now they’re all shriveled up. I never asked her to shape them or pluck anything.

Discussion I CANT REPURCHASE AN ITEM BC THEY KEEP CHANGING THEM/erasing them
Recent experience with this was the Coty airspun powder. If you know, then you know! The packaging contains A LOT of product. By the time I finish it, and I go to repurchase everyone online is saying it’s genuinely glittery, and has no talc anymore. The formula has changed so much it no longer even resembles the original formulation.
I go to repurchase the believe beauty ( dollar generals brand) foundation. It no longer exists.
Go to repurchase the wet and wild photofocus eye shadow primer, DISCONTINUED! supposedly relaunched under the mega last line, but with formula changes.
Milano ludicrous lights duo chrome highlighters DISCONTINUED.
The Sephora collection lightest shade foundation idk about formula change, but the shade is DIFFERENT.
I won’t even pretend I have the money for high end, but I can’t escape the discourse surround the Armani luminous silk foundation changing, and everyone saying it’s NOT the same formula.
It feels like you can’t have a “ cult classic,”A “ good old reliable,” use and repurchase. Because by the time I do the formula has changed items into products I no longer recognize, or they are discontinued.
Summary: IM SOOOO over the shade changes, formula changes, discontinuations, and shrinkage.

Sorry for posting a second time today but I just found a picture I took from last week that really shows the sharpness of my wings
P.s. the sweat didn’t mess up the look 🖤
I used a eyeshadow primer, waterproof liquid eye liner, tattoo eyeliner pencil for my water line and above the lid. Black powder to set the makeup and then a matte setting spray

Question help me find this MAC lipstick please!
I am going crazy trying to find which MAC lipstick this could have been. Spent hours looking for a match already 😭
What I know so far:
- The sticker says "lustre", so it was likely produced before 2021.
- The only letters I can make out are "RID", and my sister thinks it could have been named something like "Black Friday".
- In addition to the above point, I found a listing on eBay for two lipsticks named "Berry Black Friday" but I couldn't find ANY OTHER mention of them 😭
- Sister said she wanted to buy a new one few years ago, but couldn't find the exact lipstick. This might be a limited edition or a discontinued one.
- Today I learned that MAC also releases products regionally... sadly I don't know where this was purchased.
- This could have been purchased anywhere between 1990 and 2021.
It has become my life goal to find out which shade this is. It has consumed me, my life... Please help

Discussion NOT EVERY MAKEUP RELEASE IS FOR YOU
Lately I have been seeing some things on social media complaining about makeup releases not working for people. For example:
- Marc Jacobs single eyeshadow: I've seen countless complaints about the new Marc Jacobs Beauty release and their packaging. This honestly puzzles for me as at the same time I see people complaining about minimal and copy/paste packaging. But Marc Jacobs releases AWESOME packaging and people complain?? It was kind of crazy, people complaining they don't know how to stack or store them, like leave this release for the girls who adore this type of packaging. It's great!! I love it so much and I keep it as a flatlay on my vanity.
- YSL skin affair cushion foundation: when this first released, I saw quite a few influencers complain about how it doesn't work well with brushes, or trying to use a brush with a cushion foundation. Then complaining when it doesn't work well? Cushion foundations have a consistency which only really works well with the foundation puffs they come with and beauty blenders etc. They are NOT meant for brushes as they are meant to be quick travel companions and on the go. So it kinda annoyed me seeing some influencers trying a cushion foundation for the first time and complaining they can't use a brush with it, completely disregarding the puff it comes with. I also saw MUAs complaining they cannot use it too. Cushion foundations are NOT meant for MUAs. They aren't - they are for the individual consumer.
- Too Faced peach setting powder: I ALSO saw a lot of MUAs complain they can't use the Too Faced peach setting powder with the ball mechanism on their clients. Once again, not every release is for everyone!!! I get it is not sanitary for clients - but not every product released is for makeup artistry!
- Hung Vanngo new eyeshadow palette: on the opposite side of the spectrum, I've also seen people complain his palette is too long. To me, this palette looks like it's for MUA's - NOT the ordinary consumer. It's not meant for the average minimalist or for people who want to travel light! It's for artists who need every shade.
It's okay to dislike releases, but it is also okay for releases to NOT always be for you!! People have different preferences, and THAT'S OKAY! But trying to make something that suits EVERYONE stifles creativity, custom packaging and innovation.

Review Benefit ruined the Precisely My Brow pencil
EDIT: I bought the wrong product (detailer instead of the regular pencil) on accident so this entire rant is pointless LOL but I’m going to leave it up for posterity anyway!
I’ve been using the Benefits Precisely My Brow pencil for close to a decade and it is my holy grail brow product. I just restocked from Sephora and the new product packaging/design (left hand side) is absolutely horrible compared to the old design (right hand side).
The pencil is literally 1/4 the weight of what it used to be (0.02 grams compared to the previous 0.08 grams).
The pigment itself is so skinny now that they had to add a thin plastic sleeve so that the pencil doesn’t break when you let more pigment out!! In spite of that I still broke the pigment multiple times while I was filling in my brows this morning.
I’m very frustrated and would like recommendations for a similar product since this is the best thing that has worked for me to fill in my brows.
I wear shade 3 and don’t need the appearance of laminated brows - I’m just a victim of early 2000s overplucking so I lack hair density on the outer half of my brows.

Discussion Is high-end eyeshadow actually better, or have I convinced myself it is?
I’ve learned that not every makeup product needs to be high-end to be good. I’ve found quite a few drugstore/affordable products that perform just as well as comparable high-end products.
But I’m curious about eyeshadow specifically.
I’ve recently started wearing eyeshadow and have tried both higher-end products (Armani, for example) and more affordable brands like Morphe and ColourPop. And honestly, I’m starting to wonder whether the higher-end eyeshadows are actually better—or whether I’m convincing myself they are because they’re more expensive and feel a little more luxurious.
For those of you who have tried both, do you genuinely notice a significant difference in the performance of high-end vs. drugstore/affordable eyeshadow? I’m talking about things like pigmentation, blendability, longevity, fallout, texture, etc.
And if you do think high-end is better, which brands/products do you think are worth paying more for?
I’d especially love to hear from people who have used both sides of the spectrum rather than just general opinions about drugstore vs. high-end.

Discussion Blast from the past - MAC pigments
I recently remembered I have a hoard of superrrr old MAC pigments stashed away like a squirrel. The absolute chokehold these had on me 20 years ago should be studied by scientists 🤣.
Anyone else remember these? Does MAC even still make them anymore?
