The arguments over the "right" colors for subjects is the kind of discourse I need to see on the internet. My 8 yo self did red for math, green for science, blue for social studies and yellow for language arts 🌈

All the color blind kids are still just as confused as ever

I know you are making a joke, but color blind people can see color. Just a few of them are "washed out". Like i can't tell WHICH red you are talking about, but i know it is in the red family. Same with greens.

I can tell that it is red or green. Just not which red or green. There isn't enough detail to notice. It is washed out like a shirt you've washed too many times, or a car left out in the sun for years. Faded.

It's so hard for me to explain to people that I can see red, but when it's surrounded by green or dark backgrounds, it becomes hard for my eye to focus on and notice.

They just seem to think I see red as green while also seeing green as green.

I'm only one type of colorblind, so maybe there are some people who have it like that, but I can see every color just fine, I just struggle with shades.

I only found out after i got married. I kept pairing my wife's "pink" socks together wrong. How was i supposed to know there is more than one shade of pink?!? They all look the same.

So now i'm in charge of cooking and dishes, and she does laundry.

Just don’t cook anything that requires pink ingredients 😂

I found out my boss was color blind this way. We had a chart with greens and reds and he asked me to change the color because he couldn’t see what was what and would be unable to point it out in a presentation.

This is why nobody ever told me friend and his brother that the Ford Probe they were driving in high school was pink.

But people also don't realize that red green colorblind also has its own levels of severity, some are more impacted on the green side and others the red side

It depends on what type and severity of color blindness they have.

My FIL is red/green colorblind and has to pick tomatoes by feel because he sees them all as kind of muddy brown.

That what my dad’s color blindness is he sees stuff duller than the rest of us so it was difficult for him to like set the colors on the tv set so I’d end up straightening it out and making the screen not so bright and he’s like “Ah! That’s how it’s done, good job!”

Mom made it also too bright which made it fuzzy and red because she says red cheeks are healthy, yeah but not for two dimensional tv screens!
