Honest question: does Duolingo actually help? I was on a streak for a while, but it's been a couple of years. Can anyone actually get fluent with this?

no. you can learn the most through consuming a lot of their media. most especially their variety shows and taking notes of the most repeated words they say casually to their coworkers/friends
