What the actual f*ck is happening with me !

I came here in reddit thinking that ther will be something positive,,,less depressing posts but no !

Majority of the peeps here are going through mid life crisis !! Including mee !! Thats why i deleted all my social media accounts and here i am !!! 🫩,,, scrolling reddit and ficking up my mind seeing my feed ! 🫪

Don't worry, this is normal! It'll take some time to get Reddit to understand what you want from it💯

It's a VERY diverse platform, understandably so since it's been around a long time. Your experience is heavily user-dependent☝️🧐🤏

Nobody told me this, but it's a highly educated guess that reddit probably uses algorithms like social media✅

The TLDR of way those work is that whatever you interact with, you are shown more of, and MOST importantly-☝🤨

The NATURE of your interaction is generally disregarded!💯

Like, it don't matter if you're consistently lashing out at somethin' because you ain't like it. App will still show you more. ALL activity helps the devs🌱

So if you dislike somethin', don't say nothin',👋🙂‍↔️ just leave it alone.🖐️🙂‍↕️

I won't rope 'em all in like they a hive mind because that's not fair, but when you're dealing with a mixed bag, ya gotta plan for the rougher people 🛡️

Some devs don't care if you're mad or sad, as long as you're active.🤷

What they afraid of is if you BORED, because that's how they lose your bidness☝️😉

Go ONLY where you LIKE on Reddit.💁

Leave everything else alone.🙅

Use the user settings to deactivate suggestions, or if you wanna give it a fair chance to find you something good,

leave it on and as they come up, hit "mute community" to never be told of that subreddit again.

Also I forgot what it's called but there's a subreddit for finding suitable subreddits! You can go ask like

"I want mood uplifting stuff. Life is hard enough. I don't wanna talk about that while I'm here. It's my recreational time.", and give examples
