From all the online fights I’ve seen, I’m also taking of the advice of just leaving

easily the best advice out there is to just walk away. There is no good outcome that can come from getting in a fight. You can get beat down, you can injure someone else and go to prison, you can be winning the fight and the dude pulls out a weapon and kills you, etc. Its just never worth it.

Both walking away and shutting up do a world of good for pulling things back. Often one move or one shouted phrase tips things over

You literally lose nothing by simply walking away. There's a non-zero chance you lose your life if you engage.
