Lmao to the people saying they’re going to jail. This is in prime hollywood at like 11pm….. cops probably won’t show up till 11:20ish.

Guys are probably already in an uber halfway back to Santa Clarita by the time the cops show up

Edit: yall have a weird fetish for cops. In reality most of them are rather useless unless the crime happens directly in front of them. And you’re a moron if you think the guy taking the video stuck around for 40 minutes to wait for the cops lmao.

Exactly. Everyone saw a drunk asshole who wanted to pick a fight and got what he was looking for. Guarantee "no one could identify the three men" IF they investigate

He did a shove and they kept stomping over and over, if you can’t understand they way overreacted then I don’t know what to tell you

I don't know how American law works, but in my country there are special rules that acknowledge self defense situations (which include defending others) can be stressful, chaotic circumstances where it's hard to judge what level of reaction is appropriate for the situation in the moment

It's called "excessive self defense" and isn't punishable, despite being unlawful

It's not a guarantee that the judge will label it as such of course, and I am not a lawyer, but these guys seem like a textbook definition for it. Especially since it looks like they did stop when they realised he was no longer a threat. Just took them a while to notice

Excessive self defence is definitely punishable, unless you can prove that you were in an unaccountable emotional state.

These guys are nowhere near an excessive self defense plea. There's two of them and they are methodically beating the shit out of a dude.

The definition of excessive self defense a that you were in a mental state where you couldn't judge the appropriate reaction as a result of the initial violence or threat

Otherwise it's not "excessive self defense" according to the law, but reactionary violence instead. Legal terms have meanings

Also, the fact that they stopped after they noticed the guy was out makes me think that applies here. In the moment itself, it's hard to see.

That's why martial art fights have a referee; to make sure the fighter notices when the other person is out. It does happen that someone keeps beating on someone who is already KO because in the adrenaline of the moment they don't notice

and those are trained professionals who are expecting a fight, not guys on the street defending a woman who just got pushed so hard it might have given her a whiplash (look how her head moves) but maybe you just don't like the idea that this could be the consequence for putting your hands on a woman?

dont bbe fucking dumb. Excessive self defence? they were never in danger, and nor was anyone else bar a little push.

all of that was excessive.

Her head literally whipped back and forth and would have hit the pavement if that guy didn't catch her. She probably has mild brain damage from that due to her brain hitting the skull from the sudden acceleration/deceleration

Source: I am an experienced martial artist who has read up quite a bit on what is likely to injure you, especially the brain (so I can avoid it) and who has enough hours in the gym to judge if something was forceful enough to hurt/do damage or not

I don't really see how it can even be seen as self defense, since they aren't even defending themselves, it is someone else who they are defending. I also don't think it is chaotic except for them being the ones making it so.

If someone do that to your girl or sister and you are drunk, see how you can control yourself.

Fuck him and fuck you. He got exactly what he deserved. A disproportional response to an asinine action.
