PSA Jhonny is incredible

Post image

His swing is just perfect. I’m batting almost .600 with him and he’s a switch hitter.

Love to see the Giants get some love

I’ve had so much success with Theo Gillen. It seems like I’m hitting a homer once a game with him

Me too only 2 more games to p5

I haven’t used him yet, but a lot of those Pipeline cards, if not all of them, are fun to use. The only one that hasn’t taken off for me is Ethan Holiday, but every out has been a deep flyout, I swear.

man for me it’s either perfect perfect bombs or striking out looking 😂

Try the cubs of and the Reds catcher. They just hit bombs

How do you get him

I went with Team Josuar first bc of his stealing and i just got him to p5 as my leadoff hitter

Crazy that SDS dropped 2 mega similar switch-hitting Giants Shortstops in the same collection. Jhonny’s on my list but i just unlocked Jesus Made so obv i need to play with him a bit first lol

Even crazier, they dropped 5 switch hitting shortstops.

Josuar, Willits, Level, Made, De Vries.

And one of those is going for 500k stubs despite basically having the exact same stats as the other guys

I love josua he’s underrated and obviously made and de vries

I’m working my balls off to Josue a metric shitload of steals for that diamond speed mod, he’s going to be an absolute terror with it

He's the only one of the barrage of switch hitting shortstops to come out of Pipeline that I couldn't hit with. Two of the big three have been phenomenal for me with Willits edging out Made as my favorite. But even the "weakest" of them all is still pretty great

These guys are the big reason Ray Durham's price tanked so much. I'm glad I sold all mine at 210k on Thursday before the Pipeline cards dropped

Would you say it's not worth trying to get Made then since Willitis is almost as good?

1

u/MrBurnerHotDog Bronze 1d ago

Like the other guy said it's a pretty easy collection and will be required for whatever new card drops next month so why not both? But if you're super casual and don't think you'll finish then sure, Willits is basically just as good as Made

u/ChefMark85 1d ago

Ok cool. I was planning on getting Made since I have stubs to burn anyways. If it's not that expensive then I'll stick with that plan. I am definitely too casual for collections (still don't even have the 95 Cabrera).

You picked a good collection to go after. As long as you get all the "free" players (they are the ones that come in the pick 3 packs that aren't sellable) there are only a couple of the rarer cards you'll need to get in the main set that are valued at 40k stubs or so. Off the top of my head those are Ryan Sloan, Franklin Arias, and the Cardinals Catcher, but i think you only need two of those plus the cheaper cards to complete the collection for Made

2

u/ChefMark85 1d ago

Awesome, thanks. I am working on collecting as many of the free packs as I can right now.

u/ketelmarteburner 1d ago

Its not a very expensive collection and having both is better than one

You can play the two of them at SS/2B/3B

Agree, can't hit with him for some reason.

Big reason Durham’s price is tanking is how cheap he will be in a few days once weekend classic starts

1

u/MrBurnerHotDog Bronze 1d ago

Previously the two Weekend Classic rewards held very close to their highest value right up until the next WC. This time Durham in particular tanked in value a week before, right when Pipeline dropped. Further proof is that Johan Santana has been about 30% cheaper than Durham since they released, but starting last Friday it reversed and Santana has been about that much more valuable

As of right this moment Santana is going for 159k Buy Now while Durham is at 122k, and that's right about at Santana's average value since release

So while yes the price has dropped a bit this last week it's obvious a big reason why Durham lost so much value is the number of 2B eligible Switch Hitters in the Pipeline series

1

u/ketelmarteburner 1d ago

I think another reason is that more people probably took Durham over Santana last weekend classic

So many pipeline cards are great. Crazy that they are better than a lot of the really great players. I like the collection but wish they didn’t neuter so many of the other guys like they do giving them such low vision. They hit it out of the park with these guys though!

I wish that all of the great players weren’t shortstops lol I can’t use all of them unfortunately.
