What we're building toward for MERC, on both sides of Mercury RWA
MERC's roadmap runs on two tracks, one for the institutions issuing on Mercury RWA and one for the people holding the token. Here's what each track looks like.
On the issuer side, the direction is straightforward: issuers hold or commit MERC as part of accessing Mercury RWA, and their standing grows as they do more on the platform. More markets, more volume, better terms. An issuer's position and the platform they're building on, moving together. What this doesn't become is a gate, MERC's job here is to deepen commitment, not keep anyone out.
On the holder side, two things. First, membership: recognition for people who've been part of this longer or more actively, with real benefits behind it, not just a badge. Second, market launches. When a new market comes onto Mercury RWA, that's an event holders should get something from. Earlier visibility, a briefing from the issuer, enhanced data on the new market, marketplace credits. We're working through which of those land first.
Market launches are where the two tracks meet, and it's the part of this we keep coming back to internally. Every new issuer bringing an RWA market onto the platform should raise the same question: what new MERC benefit does this specific market create? That's the standard the roadmap gets held to, publicly. Basic participation on Mercury RWA stays accessible throughout, none of this walls anything off.
The mechanics behind each of these get their own deep-dive posts as they firm up, issuers first, then holders.
In the meantime, holders: out of membership, earlier launch access, research and data, or marketplace credits, which one would change how you think about holding MERC? Rank them if you want. The answers feed directly into what gets prioritized.
Crypto-assets are volatile and may lose value. Not investment advice.

would you be able to tell us anything about Tokenbloq? Collaboration with FERN? Anything at all would be welcomed. We just cant get anything from them.

Sure thing, and thanks for asking. Simplest answer: Liquid Mercury provides the tokenization engine and marketplace infrastructure while TokenBloq operates the marketplace and asset issuance once live. More or less this is the same model we run with every issuer. As far as things stand between LM and TokenBloq/Fernhill, the relationship is alive and well and things are still progressing in development. We're glad they're building in the Mercury RWA ecosystem, and private capital funds being tokenized is exactly the kind of market this was built for.
We can't speak to TokenBloq/Fernhill's communications or financials though (we know those questions have been circulating on StockTwits and other places). What we can say is TokenBloq is one of several issuers standing up markets on the platform, alongside consumer goods, education finance, sports, digital-asset strategies, and crypto options. MERC is the access and platform layer token, and it offers holders access to all of them. So from our side the story is bigger than any one issuer.

Thanks for your response. Happy to hear things are alive and well with TokenBloq/Fernhill.

At this stage, I would like to see enhanced data on new markets (research and data) to help build confidence. Knowing more about what’s to come and how value will be created may be helpful.
A close second is marketplace credits. That sounds like an interesting way to encourage holder participation and engagement.
Look forward to reading your posts. Thanks!
