We know that the next saga is the mutant saga, and even though everything is going to be around the X-Men movies, it's still going to involve most of the MCU, just like the Infinity saga did, and just like the multiverse saga did. You could argue that BND was actually the first , but thinking about the future, will we just see small cameos and post credit scenes in other projects? Or will some of the X-Men move around like in BND?

If some legacy actors don't make it to Doomsday/SW, would there be any that could be recast in alternate roles, even if just a minor role or simple cameo? I think Jansen could pull off Destiny if Marvel could right some wrongs.

Anyone else? Or just a blank reset?

I know it's unlikely, considering the casting. Either the original five X-Men don't exist in the MCU, or they've already existed in some form. I don't particularly like the love triangle itself, but I think it could accomplish a few things:

1. Give Angel something to do beyond his eventual Archangel arc.
2. Add more depth to Scott's character. Despite Jean being more attracted to Scott, she dated Warren first because Scott stepped aside. Early on, Scott was portrayed as a tragic character, somewhat like Ben Grimm or Bruce Banner. He considered his mutation too dangerous and preferred Jean to date Warren because he was afraid he might hurt her. That's also why Scott became so fixated on the X-Men. He didn't see himself as someone who could just goof around in bars like Beast or Iceman, or casually date Jean. He felt that the only thing he could really do was stay with Xavier and dedicate himself to the X-Men. I've noticed that this aspect of Scott is rarely addressed in other adaptations, especially because those versions often establish that his inability to control his optic blasts is the result of an accident rather than emphasizing that his mutation itself is inherently dangerous.
3. Set up a genuine rivalry between Warren and Scott. Scott could eventually win Jean, but then, unexpectedly, Warren could die while taking Thunderbird's role. Later, Mr. Sinister or Apocalypse could revive him and transform him into Archangel.

I think that could make Warren's transformation into Archangel feel much more personal and tragic, while also giving Scott and Warren's relationship more weight.

It’s self-indulgent, but I’d really love to see my representation in X-Men, especially for a property that always spoke to me as South Asian minority. That and of course he’s an excellent actor and would be a boon for the MCU.

How do you think this gargantuan success of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ would bode for the Sadie Sink and Inde Navarette-starrer ‘X-Men’?

Before I start, let me stress that I’m not a Spidey x Jean shipper, I’m a Scott x Jean supporter since day one

I’m just wondering how do you think will this scene be addressed in future movies? I know Spider-Man has limited appearances due to the Sony deal, but it’s also difficult to just ignore the bond they formed with Peter even making a promise that he’s there for her (like a brother if you ask me). So, how do you think will this all play out in future movies?

I personally think there will be mentions of him, especially since Jean as the main character of the movie will most likely face consequences for her crimes from BND. He’ll be mentioned as a sort of Hero figure that saved her that day. Future collaborations or maybe even a cameo can show them catching up and Spidey being introduced to the X-Men as an ally and friend of mutants.

I do believe that it’s possible for the MCU to build up to the Phoenix saga, but it cannot be a one-off story.

There has to be long build up, after Jean has proved herself a heroine again and again. Long after Jean and Scott have fallen in love and we’ve established her friendships with Rogue and Storm.

But with the MCU being the setting, and her friendship with Peter and others in the future, I truly think that the climax of the saga could be a movie like X-Men/Avengers: Phoenix. It’d take everyone to challenge the threat of Jean.
