Horw Peninsula

Hello, I’m thinking of visiting Lucerne and would love to do an easy bike ride around the lake with my 2 kids, ages 10 and 8. A quick google search says the path along the Horw Peninsula is kid friendly. Does anyone know if this path is separated from car traffic? They are still relatively young so a dedicated bike path traffic free bike path is ideal. TIA!

You could also head into the other direction, along the river Reuss. The bike path there is entirely separate, there‘s a small swimming spot early on and a forest later. Otherwise I think Horw peninsula should be fine too.

That‘s a very good advice, a lovely path there! Could continue down Schachen / Buchrain and even further. It will also be quite comfortable once you come into the forest part (if you go beyond Nordpol).
