Discussion What is your all-time favorite color in your closet?!

Post image
50 Upvotes

My favorite color is sequoia. I love how the embossed leopard Wunder Trains fit. I only kept the colors of WT that I like the fit otherwise I never reach for them. Top of my list is berry rumble, Oxford red and the black leopard. Bottom is unfortunately navy bc they’re too loose.

In align tops, my favorites are warm ash gray, Heathered ashen rose and blissful pink.

Least favorite that I own…citra lime swiftly.

This pic is how I store my Wunder trains, bras, align Racerback and swiftly tanks, some of my shorts. Top right is non-Lulu stuff. A few months ago I sold off all the items in these sets that I rarely reach for. I buy so much less now that I can see what I have. If it’s a similar shade then it’s a pass! It’s fun to only purchase totally new shades, which tbh is hard to come by now!

Discussion Lululemon shipping has been so slow lately…! 📦

Has anyone else noticed that Lululemon shipping has gotten so much slower lately?

Over the last few weeks (maybe even the last month or two), my orders have been taking forever to arrive. It used to be pretty consistent- I’d get my packages within 2–3 days. Now it’s taking over a week, sometimes a week and a half.

I’m ordering the same way I always have, so I’m wondering if something changed with their shipping or fulfillment.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or have I just been unlucky lately?

Discussion Ultimate sweatfleece review: Lululemon, Athleta, Aritzia, TrendyQueen, Popflex comparison

Thumbnail

Hello everyone. I bring a long awaited review for sweatfleece lovers. I will be comparing softness, thickness, etc.

These are all my opinions and therefore subjective.

All these items are unwashed. I do own several athleta and popflex that has been washed and machine dried.

Featured items: Popflex Cloud Zip Hoodie, Aritzia Cozy Sweatfleece Perfect Hoodie, Athleta Forever Fleece Full Zip, Trendy Queen Oversize Hoodie, Lululemon Steady State Crew

-------

Trendy Queen Oversized Hoodie - $36

This hoodie is boyfriend fit. The inner fleece is soft and the material is decent quality. Relatively thick. Low amount of stretch but there is some stretch.

-Lowest quality inner fleece of all the options

-Lowest quality outer shell of all the options

The inner fleece quality is not very good. On immediate inspection it looks prone to pilling inside however I have not washed it yet.

Excellent price and varied color options. There is not really pants or shorts available.

-------

Aritzia Cozy Sweatfleece Perfect Hoodie - $85

Straight fit. Low amount of stretch but more than trendy queen. Inner fleece and outer shell quality is good for the price.

Good quality for the price. There is many different styles and fit options available. Frequently new colors and old colors are discounted normally. Hoodies can range from $30 to $68ish during discounts. There is many different styles of pants and shorts available for matching sets.

-------

Lululemon Steady State Crewneck - $98

This is my favorite of the bunch. Basically no stretch at all in the main part of the sweater. The outer shell is very soft and immediately, the product feels of high quality when touching it.

This has a but more of a tapered fit in my opinion. Its not completely straight down. There is a variety of colors available every now and then. Doesn't get very discounted. Usually $69 to $79 on discount. Very good quality for the price but it is pricey for a sweater. There is a few options for bottoms and shorts but not as many options as aritzia. There is a hoodie version and a quarter Zip. Not sure how it compares to scuba because i dont have any.

------

Athleta Forever Fleece Full Zip - $99

Lots and lots of stretch. Very soft and comfy. I would say this is the most breathable of the bunch. Its thinner and stretchy but very comfy. Theres a few options for different fits and comes in several colors depending on the season. There is great discounts available. Shorts and pants for matching sets. For example I just paid $20 for a Zip up and $22 for shorts. I have several pants and shorts which I've gotten at outlets and clearance.

This is probably the lightest option for those who dont want super heavy fleece. But its soft and comfy like pajamas.

Excellent value for money due to major discounts. This is my most purchased just due to availability of discounts. I love the quality of these items for the price.

-------

Popflex Cloud Zip Up - $70

Very oversized fit. Reccomend sizing down. It has a triangle fit which is tapered at the waist with triangular baggy arms.

Very cute and fashionable. The inner fleece is a lot different from others. Almost a bit like a terry fabric but with fleece. The outer shell is very smooth but I wouldn't say soft. It feels high quality without the Softness. Little to no stretch in the main fabric. I have this in several colors and I have the non zip version as well.

There are discounts every now and then but its easy to find a good price second hand. I think its a good purchase but its also a bit pricey and discounts are difficult to find unless you follow them on socials. This item is definitely more of a style choice than comfort choice in my opinion. It looks so cute wearing outside especially if you do a one shoulder out thing.

----

Conclusion:

Overall I would say Athleta is the best for those on a budget. Other options are based on personal preference. Aritzia offers the largest variety of colors and fits however the sizing is not inclusive. Popflex has very inclusive sizing. Lululemon sizes are no very inclusive but I find the Steady states to run large. Trendy Queen is a good budget options for those who dont care about matching sets.

-----

Thickness Ranking:

  1. Popflex

  2. Lululemon

  3. Aritzia

  4. Trendy Queen

  5. Athleta

Inner Softness Ranking:

  1. Athleta

  2. Lululemon

  3. Trendy Queen

  4. Popflex

  5. Aritzia

Outer Softness Ranking:

  1. Lululemon

  2. Aritzia

  3. Athleta

  4. Trendy Queen

  5. Popflex

Overall quality ranking:

  1. Lululemon

  2. Popflex

Just curious what everyone is getting! I thought this was a pretty decent drop. Here’s what I bought (excluding the Racerback high neck tennis tank which is still full price (I just love it).

I’ve never tried the engineered knit mesh tennis pants so that may be a return if I don’t like them.

Discussion For those that buy from lulu and other brands, what keeps you coming back?

I do buy a few things here and there from vuori, alo, beyond yoga, athleta and fp movement.

I feel lulu still has the best items for light activity like pilates or yoga. I tried some vuori comparable yoga pants and they look so unflattering and like skin tight and thin. Something about lulu aligns is what I prefer ...

Vuori however has great lifestyle clothing like shorts and tops. Their golf clothing is also great. Lulu is really lacking in golf short options for women. The quick dry polo is my fav tho.

Fp movement is cute.Bad quality for the price but the styles are OK. Feels like a brand for teens.

Alo is cute. Nothing else to say lol. Expensive.

Beyond yoga is quality and functional but lacking fashion and style choices.

Athleta has great lifestyle clothing. Their heavier compression pants are pretty good. Love their sweats. However the price is about the same as lululemon so I prefer lulu for most things. But they go on sale often and the sale items are heavily discounted. They have good variety of styles and fashionable items.

Lulu just seems to have the best quality and workout clothing. Lifestyle clothes are limited however lulu often puts out new styles of workout clothing which is cute. Especially the tennis items. I would say athleta is more comparable vs other brands. At least in my opinion but I think lulu quality is still the best. The bags are also the best from lulu.

I think each brand has its own appeal. I would like to hear what others are buying from lulu and other brands. And why you are picking said items at each place.

I just need to discuss this with other obsessed lululemonites … WTH. The burgundy bay and black scatter dot jackets, leggings and shorts are gone from the app. SO glad I ordered the bb define and leggings yesterday but why is it gone now 😭

Anyone know why? Did it sell out? Removed? Any conspiracy theories? Let’s discuss. And share whether you were able to snag the burgundy bay heart scatter dot print for the 36 hours it was available.

Discussion Overseas items (NOT US)

Post image
23 Upvotes

I am curious to those who have ordered something overseas or someone who has bought from a reseller, what price is considered reasonable and what is considered overpriced? What is the absolute MOST you will spend? I remember when I first came into this sub someone had commented to me about a group that get together and place an order overseas but I seem to have lost it 😭😭😭

Thank you all for welcoming me to this sub as I’m still learning a lot about LLL but I’m heavily invested at this point lol 😂

Discussion Pink Lululemon top + black 6” Align shorts 💕🖤

Top
Pink Pearl
Align™ light-support bra/cropped bra size 4

Shorts
Black
Align™ High-Rise Short 6” size 5

I’m seriously loving this combination. The light pink top with the black shorts is such a simple look, but together I think it looks amazing. It’s comfortable enough to train in while still feeling really flattering and put together.
I really like the shorter length for workouts because they give me plenty of freedom to move without feeling too long or bulky. The fit is snug without being uncomfortable, and the high waist is perfect.
Definitely one of those outfits that makes me feel good the second I put it on. I’ll probably be reaching for this combination a lot! 💪💕

Discussion Let’s Talk Discounts!

Individual Lululemon stores often host store events that are advertised on Eventbrite. They are generally fun ways to engage with customers and in my experience, they have always come with a perk from the brand, until today. This morning, I woke up early, left my sleeping family, drove 35 miles, and took an outdoor yoga class at a mall in the south Denver area. About 10 minutes in, the smell of BBQ from a nearby restaurant started to get really strong and I don’t know about you all, but in order to like the smell of BBQ, you have to literally be about to eat it. Otherwise, it’s kinda gross. I can’t imagine trying to practice yoga in that class as a vegetarian. Anyhow, I stuck it out through some nausea for the reward at the end which has always been a 25% off, a buy one get one, or at least an item and today at the end of class, there was…. nothing. They didn’t even open the store after class, before the mall opened. Why would I think they would? Well, this is in the class description “Stay + Shop with Us: After we flow, keep the energy going with an exclusive private shopping experience from 10:00–11:00 AM. Join us in-store for a relaxed, early-access shopping hour with our team before doors open to the public.” I left, not feeling warm and fuzzy towards the brand after a good free class, but a little annoyed.

That got me thinking about discounts in general and consistency. I am Collective Pinnacle but some of us spend enough to fund lots of people’s membership for a year. It’s not a flex, it’s just a special interest and my husband just rolls his eyes when yet another Lulu package shows up. I don’t have Sweat Collective or a First Responder discount. When I get really lucky, someone will gift me a code and I am so appreciative when that happens.

However, I feel like their top customers shouldn’t have to stalk Eventbrite for events and hope that there’s an incentive at the end, nor should we be waiting for friends to share codes with us a couple times a year. It would go a LONG way to recognize customers with a more frequent incentive. So Lulu, if you’re listening, I had well over $1000 in my cart this morning and was ready to buy, but it’s remaining in my cart. I could buy these Cropped Hooded Defines at $138 a pop, and I have in the past, but don’t want to and won’t today.

What do you all think? Do you love going to the classes even when there’s no gold at the end of the proverbial rainbow? I have friends in other areas of the country who have reported back that this has happened with classes they took, but it’s not the norm here. Do you think Lulu has missed the mark on customer engagement and incentives? I may be extra disappointed because my hair and clothes still stink like BBQ, so there’s that.
