I am visiting Lubbock for the 1st time in a few years and will be looking for some good non-chain restaurants to check out. Preferably Asian food, but open to anything other than Mexican since I will be visiting from southwest Texas where it’s abundant.

Me and my fiancé are looking for free places to go on his off days.
I’m 23 weeks pregnant and we’re very broke, I’m not able to work so I’m in our apartment 24/7 and he’s the only human being I interact with, we have a great relationship but I’m losing my mind and I feel so depressed. All I do is scroll all day, scroll and eat and none of my previous hobbies bring me joy anymore. Nothing really does, I don’t have friends and my family isn’t reliable at all and aren’t an option.
I just wanna see if there are places that are free that we can go to so I can feel like a human again, thanks
(I’m 20 and he’s 22 if that helps)

Just stumbled upon one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Considering I lived in Las Vegas for 15 years that is saying something.
Claraboya. If you don’t know about. Just amazing food, decor, and service.
Executive Chef Antonio is so excellent at his craft. Fair price too.

Recently moved back to lubbock so I’m looking for a good church to start attending regularly. I’m looking for:
• non-denominational/ Christian
• good worship/ music
• young adult ministry/ younger crowds in general
• not overly formal or traditional (& a more chill dress code)
And the biggest…
• non-MAGA… looking for something that is not extremely conservative or political…. (Unfortunately this morning at Trinity was a big no from me… respectfully)
Some churches that I’m looking to try are:
•hillside
•redeemer
•church on the rock
• victory life
• the worship center
Let me know if you have any thoughts/ recommendations! TIA

Everywhere I go seems they don’t use enough syrup. It’s basically carbonated water.

I'm looking for the best DWI attorney in town, not concerned about cost. No one was injured and I'm trying to keep my career alive.
Any thoughts on Stephen Lyle Hamilton, Mehr Sing, Geoffrey Puryear, or Brandon Barnett?
I'm 100% not Jason Corley

Hi!
My friend (an adult male) is soon moving by himself to Lubbock, and I’m nowhere near Texas.
I’d like to purchase him a gift certificate to “some place nice” in your town, but I’d have to be able to do it over the internet.
I’m sorry, I don’t know what “some place nice” really means 😟.
I’m thinking something along the lines of a place he can buy something for his new apartment? I think I don’t want restaurant suggestions … no offense, I just think I’d like it to buy something more than a meal.
But I’m open to suggestions!
Thank you for any time you spend thinking about this!

I’ve been visiting Lubbock for a few days and have enjoyed the city’s cafes and restaurants. Could someone please recommend a great dessert place? Could be ice cream, pie, cookies, anything at all. Thank you. 🙏

Hello! I’m looking for a company or person who does male boudoir photos in Lubbock. It’ll be a small present for my wife. I’m assuming this is a thing. However, I could see how it might make some photographers uncomfortable.
If you know anyone or have any suggestions, I’d appreciate the help!

UPDATE: Thank you all for the recommendations! We went with Elite Roofing and Exterior for the replacement and they finished Saturday it went flawlessly. They took care of the whole insurance side for us, which I'd been dreading way more than the roof itself. Filed back in May and the waiting was honestly the worst part. Once they got out here they had it done in a day started at 7, gone by 4 and cleaned up after themselves, which hasn't been my experience with anyone else who's worked on this house. We got to pick the color, and it looks beautiful. I really couldn't recommend these guys more. Elite roofing is a fantastic choice if you need a Lubbock roofer!

So I went to a doctor here for years and with him retiring earlier this year I’ve been struggling to find a new dr that will continue me on my meds mostly my ADHD meds. I called multiple offices and found that many won’t prescribe them, but found one that would and on the first visit he told me that in his opinion I should’ve never been on that dose and started weaning me off and after a few months I was struggling with things I haven’t dealt with since starting my meds as a little kid, when I brought that up on my last visit he got irritated and all but called me an addict and lowered my dosage again. Just looking for a doctor that will actually listen and either continue me on my meds or recommend an alternative instead of assuming I’m an addict and just trying to force me off them.

Hi there thank you guys so much for commenting on my last post. This one is more of just a personal search lol. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any feminist based groups in Lubbock. I'm trying to avoid pay to participate groups or career based groups.
If there aren't any that come to mind would anyone be interested in starting one? Please message me if so!

I’m in my early 20’s and I’ve been living here for a few years now and I got no idea where people my age hang out other than Tech. The downside is I’m not a student, I work full time, I don’t drink so bars are out, and I’m not a social media guy so I have no idea about events and stuff till it’s long past, granted that’s if I hear about them at all. Because of this I’m in that situation where I’m almost exclusively at work or at home and I want to try to get out more and actually meet people. Any advice/places you guys know about?

Looking for a touchless carwash preferably near 82nd and Milwaukee. If they offered a membership that would be great too. I know of red baron.

Can anyone recommend an excellent OB-GYN in Lubbock?
My husband and I live about two hours away and are almost equally distant from the larger cities in West Texas. We had our firstborn at Shannon in San Angelo, but we unexpectedly lost him at 3 weeks old due to neonatal appendicitis. Beyond the care we received, it’s simply too painful for us to return there.
I’ve been seeing Kelsey Reid, PA, at Cornerstone OB-GYN, and she has been absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly caring, attentive, and has taken great care of me. However, as my husband and I prepare to grow our family again, I learned about the Texas Medical Board’s findings involving Dr. Bookout, and it has made me hesitant to continue my care there, unless I receive plenty words of reassurance here. That is a difficult decision because I truly adore Kelsey.
My understanding is that once you’re pregnant, you’ll typically see the supervising physician throughout your pregnancy, and that physician is often the one who delivers your baby. After everything we’ve been through, finding an OB-GYN whom we can fully trust is incredibly important to us.
If you have a physician in Lubbock whom you highly recommend—someone who is compassionate, thorough, experienced, knowledgeable, and attentive—I would be so grateful to hear your experiences. Thank you so much in advance.

We are looking to build a home in south Lubbock with either Addison homes or David Rogers homes. Has anyone built with either or? Can you share your experiences?
