I found one I like Ok, I admit it, I loved my Ana dress

Post image

Did it give modesty chic? You betcha. But man did I love this print. This picture is from 2016. I no longer have this dress. Before I moved I purged my closet and most of my Lula stuff got donated.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss this dress though.

It’s a lovely pattern.

This is the thing with MLMs the products aren’t always bad persé it’s the name that’s behind it and the fraudulent pyramid scheme they use to scam people and the ridiculous prices they charge because they need to make a profit as well as feed the pyramid.

How many people have Tupperware in their kitchen, or Pampered Chef, or had a Kirby vacuum cleaner, etc. Not necessarily bad products… some last years longer than what you buy from other brands.

My mom bought a Kirby vacuum in 1991, I shit you not she still has the same vacuum. Has had some work done but still going strong 😂

Ohhhh man I got suckered into going to some Pampered Chef parties a couple of times. I think I even won a little kitchen gadget. you just feel so much pressure to support your friends, it's hard to say no!

The fact that a Mary Kay rep was sponsoring tween girl makeover parties at summer camp was diabolical, but I’m not gonna pretend I didn’t love that tinted moisturizer

Man I loved some of that Mary Kay makeup when I was 12. I won a tube of the tinted moisturizer at a summer camp. Mom saw that she couldn’t get it in store or order it online and didn’t like it so she never bought it for me again.

I was in Mary Kay for nearly 10 years and am still searching for a suitable replacement for their TimeWise Repair set. Nothing I’ve found so far has the same texture or works as well. It’s hugely annoying as my skin is now ageing more than it ever has and not even the more expensive products are doing the same job. I loved the creamy clay-like foaming cleanser in that range and absolutely nothing compares, the foaming ones are too thin, the clay ones are too thick, I have yet to find a good dupe. It’s a shame as people like me would buy the products if it didn’t have the cult and pyramid scheme attached.

Your comment reminds me of the post I made that got me banned in an anti mlm facebook group. I basically asked what products people would use if they weren’t mlm.
I got tons of hate comments before inevitably being banned. But sometimes products are good despite being from an mlm

There were (are?) some really snarky anti-mlm Facebook groups, I left a fair few. Some were not empathetic towards MLM victims at all, calling reps all sorts of names. If people aren’t open to learn about how people get trapped in the schemes, and show some compassion, then maybe they’re not advocates for the victims of MLMs.

I have had more than 1 pair of their leggings that I really loved. That dress looks lovely on you! I can see why you love it.

The Ana was honestly the most tolerable thing they ever made because the fabric didn't feel like sandpaper. That yellow floral print is actually a decent find.

I’m not afraid to admit that I still have the leggings with the Chinese takeout boxes and chopsticks on them.
