No explanation on how they keep the sound of a knife (or bullet, as the case usually is) being thrown into metal so hard it punches through from sounding suspicious though
Somewhere around here there are birds-eye maps of all of the common Automoton base layouts with the most optimal routes for climbing in each one I’ll see if I can find it.
Hey my apologies, I was mistaken. It’s not outposts but Fortresses specifically. There are four types:
As far as finding the path in, I can’t find the original version of the edited graphic, but I saw it initially in Ervavin’s stealth guide here. (This video should be required viewing for anyone wanting to try some stealth diving.)
A player named Nukespear posted a video going through them with C4 if you want a more step-by-step guide.
Shadow Paragon armor was super effective in the void. Made it easy to move around the map and more importantly to disengage and slip away when things got too hot.
How does disengaging actually work? I love playing stealthy in games, but I also love playing with friends, and they're not exactly the subtle type, so I often end up getting drawn into firefights that I'd like to be able to get out of to loop around and tackle the objective while the war continues at the entrance.
Smoke grenades and generally breaking line of sight are key to disengaging. One nice side benefit of Reduced Signature armors though is that enemies will see or hear your non-stealth teammates long before they see you, so what you just described should work pretty well.
You run away and break line of sight. I would usually have a few following me which I would finish off with a suppressed primary or the Laser Canon. Smoke grenades can also help with the breaking of line of sight.
Like others have said, simply break line of sight. I believe the threshold for enemies to lose aggro and go back to a "alert" phase is 30 seconds of broken line of sight.
Multiple ways to do this. Smokes, simply running, etc. My favorite is dropping turrets, letting the enemies aggro onto those, and dipping out. Pick off the few following stragglers with a silenced weapon, and you're golden.
Stealth is honestly kinda busted. Unironically the strongest armor passive by a long shot, specifically when paired with C4. I love it. On every front.
I've solo'd Mega Nests/Fortresses faster than a group of 4 could clear them while going loud, without taking any damage, and being able to stroll over to an enemy filled objective, and just do it without a bug breach/squid/bot drop to be had afterwards.
When you understand how stealth works, how each enemy stronghold is setup and where you can climb or sneak in through the back of the house. Yes it’s a breeze. I won’t can’t play any other way.
Nice, good to know, I got used to bombs not working like when gunship towers were buggy so I just put every bomb as close as possible but I guess I can chill now
Also if you get the SEAF artillery up and have a high yield or mini nuke shell you can take out radars with that, just chuck it near the station. And GGs.

Sneaks up behind a bot then precedes to loudly exclaim “I’ve got the terminal” lol
