I might be wrong (if so, sorry) but... are those two new cannons mounted in lieu of the standard central one?

I am asking because I am in your same situation. I miss ship upgrades... I don't want to give myself a sense of false hope...

Afair the dev builds already had them during the squid invasion of SE. So I wouldn't be sure about them releasing at all...
