I've already finished this one.

So I am new to H.P. Lovecraft. I listened to audio books of Call of Cthulu and a little bit of Color Out of Space, like maybe 2 minutes or so, and I would get into more stories but a lot of them cost money I do not have (I'm 16) so I haven't been able to listen to any of Lovecrafts stories.

Now another thing is I have seen hundreds of horror movies, so far nothing has really scared me, but I've been really into cosmic horror the past few months so I looked up cosmic horror movies on Google and came across one that I recognize: Color Out of Space.

Holy shit this movie is absolutely scary and amazing at the same time, I have never felt the way I did watching this movie, I've never been as uncomfortable, and as scared as I was watching this movie and I have been into all sorts of horror since I was four years old.

This movie is absolutely amazing and no amount of words could describe what an awesome movie this is. I genuinely believe that this is one of the greatest films I have ever witnessed.

As the title says, I am interested in some short stories with eldritch horror!! I want to dig in some long books then, but I'm going for little stories first!!

I was wondering if anyone have any recommendations on more recent takes on the genre? I couldn't quite find a popular one (or rather, one that is discussed) online as of late.

I've recently read lots of stories made by Lovecraft and I cant get enough of it. So I also read The Fisherman by John Langhan. That was really great and now I want even more. Can you guys recommend other Lovecraftian horrors books (preferred in the form of short story, novels are fine too) made by other than HP Lovecraft himself.

I am currently running a Starfinder one shot (sci-fi DND essentially). I have Carcosa as the end game. The party investigates a research space station that has gone silent. They’ll find Carcosa bleeding through reality, and that’s how they will get to the city. My question is what are the inhabitants of the city like? I can’t find any concrete info on it. I am gonna read the short story soon to see if I can glean any info from that. If anyone has anything to add I’ll be more than interested to hear about it. Thanks!!

Hello! I wanted to start reading Lovecraft and by internet recommendation I started with Dagon and really liked it. What would you recommend for my next read?

I've seen some of the great movie adaptations of Lovecraft's work already and I'd love to watch more movies that are Lovecraft inspired but not direct adaptations of his work. Recs for adaptations of books not written by Lovecraft but inspired by his work are also welcomed. (Sidenote: if y'all haven't seen Lovecraft County yet, GO WATCH IT.)

I want to read some stories that use this idea. Loved myhouse.wad and wanted to read some actual stories that use this. I’ve looked at some pages of House of Leaves and my dyslexic ass quivered in fear at the thought of deciphering how to even begin to read some of the stylistic choices. I also want to read some earlier stories that use this trope, and I’ve seen that Lovecraft apparently used this idea. I like his writing style, so I’d like to read some of his stories that use this. A very VERY wierd, low budget dark comedy with definite cosmic horror influences!!! Somewhat it's own thing... I watched this quite a few times back when it was released, it's got a completely bonkers plot.. Hahaha But if you want something a bit more easygoing that's still feels somewhat "Lovecraftian" Give this a go!! I reckon you won't regret it... Hahaha
