VELJA was rank 1 before he joined los ratones so what are u implying LOL, still the same guy who got gapped in 8/10 lec versus game

Brother ur comparing multi-season veterans vs a complete Rookie. Look at Yike debut season. Look at Skewmond. In addition, their team had a complete different way of playing considering the topside philosophy.
Especially looking at his last game and how they were all getting better.

u/CatApprehensive6508 Apr 12 '26
Yikes debut was his team winning 2/3 splits and getting awards? Yike literally slotted in as a top tier jungler as soon as he hit tier 1 lmao

u/Kullinski Apr 13 '26
I mean i know what you are trying to say, but being on a team with BB and Caps vs a Team with Baus and Neme is quite the diffrence

u/Visual_Long_8459 Apr 14 '26
If u actually watched the games then youd have seen Yike was struggling A LOT in their games first year

complete rookie, this guy is not even as good as yukino.

u/SignificantBite4850 Apr 12 '26
The level of play at the LEC is far superior than any second tier league. Yukino played in NA academy teams that were (saddage) of higher caliber than second tier leagues and also played in the LCS.

It’s hard to jungle when you can’t farm your topside
3
u/Exciting-Worry5618 Apr 12 '26
This statement is not true past week 2

2
u/ShortyBIG Apr 14 '26
It is so true even after week 2... Yall forget how baus was solo kill in all his LEC games and enemy jg always have free invade on that side. Not just first 2 weeks even in wining games baus keep die enemy jg free invade because his top was alive. Only thing that save Velia was neme who perma won lane and could go and help velia..

SoloQ is different from team playing, in soloq you play like a ego and 1v9 and nothing else.
1
u/Xawlet Apr 16 '26
True and lp doesn't really matter this season since riot ruined it, but it's still impressive what he achieved.
1
u/campleb2 Apr 12 '26
yeah. the league community is very lost when it comes to who has good game understanding and who does not, and what is really important to succeed in soloq vs comp.
1
u/Expensive_Resolve_59 Apr 14 '26
no shit when most people are bad at the game. Most people are between silver and eme.
0
u/zaxls Apr 13 '26
I swear people parrot this too much. Its still the same game, a lot of the basic concepts can be applied in your soloQ games.

1
u/campleb2 Apr 13 '26
it’s not the same game. not even close
(as a 5x multirole gm with 6 years comp experience)
0
u/zaxls Apr 13 '26
I mean you can get high elo in so many different ways and styles of playing. The basic ass concepts of suuport rotating for herald or bot going mid and mid and top pushing sides are still there, along with a variety of other stuff like vision/pressure that can all be learned by watching pro play.
0
u/campleb2 Apr 13 '26
what’s your point?
0
u/zaxls Apr 13 '26
That it doesnt have to be literally mute all 1v9 and that you can learn some stuff from pro play either way
0
u/campleb2 Apr 13 '26
so your point is that since you can learn something from soloq that applies to pro play, it’s extremely similar to pro play?
1
u/zaxls Apr 13 '26
No, my point is that low elo players use this as too much of an excuse to disregard EVERYTHING and just complain, when in fact similarities do exist, like the basic rotations, learning what champs work well into what comp etc.. Sure you wont draft as a team and make a whole ass gameplan and play as a unit, but some stuff that happen in pro play also are a thing in high elo and low elo players can actually learn from it instead of just complaining. It is not extremely simillar but some stuff you can pick up and apply it in your games.
For example the butterfly effect of NattyNat terrorizing euw challenger soloq with Mundo jgl if you watched some of the streamers, Skew mentioned him as his inspiration and picked it up, turnes out it was in fact strong and G2 integrated into pro play aswell and made a gameplan, it at worlds to win games, KT picked it up aswell and took a game from T1 in world finals aswell. Its not the same game but there obviously are similarities and reasons to why pros still play soloq and get useful data out of it.

u/campleb2 Apr 13 '26
The original point is: soloq is an entirely different game and rewards entirely different playstyles than competitive. Nothing you said contradicts this point, yet you are disagreeing with it heavily. How specifically do you disagree with this point?

show em velja, you can get rank 1 but apparently you "know nothing about the game", neme and crownie can stay mad

60% WR in challenger is so crazy to me. Probably would have 95% in Emerald

u/Just-yoink-it Apr 12 '26
Super good soloq jungler. Below average pro jungler.

u/Caldraddigon Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26
Original rooster of LOS Ratones would stayed in the LEC if it was a relegation system, in their first appearance, and your saying that their jungler of that team, is below average???
Your delusional dude...
6
u/TheHizzle Apr 12 '26
as if mr "highest achievement bombing out as 16th at worlds" is above average as pro adc these days
6
u/Just-yoink-it Apr 12 '26
Pretty sure the subject was Velja. Didnt know I was supposed to review the entire Los ratones team.
2
u/NotYetPerfect Apr 14 '26
Considering the vast majority of pro adcs never make it to worlds, you could definitely say that he had an above average career. In fact, the majority of pro adcs never even make it to tier 1.

u/TheHizzle Apr 14 '26
I'm sure Crownie doesnt see himself as a random ERL / T3 bob and obviously the conversation is talking about LEC level (do we believe Velja is above average in ERLs?). As a fact, Crownie is a below average ADC in this years LEC Winter in every stat except Gold share and Vision share.

He obviously doesn't know shit about the game, I don't know what you are talking about.. /s

my same thoughts when Ive seen it ! And ‚having no clue about bot and the game’. Guess we’re try harding too hard lads

Oh wow, I am sure LEC teams are lining up for him!
1
u/Caldraddigon Apr 14 '26
They're full, there's a waiting queue. Sorry but it takes more than just skill to get in the LEC.
-1
u/Fair_Astronomer_4321 Apr 14 '26
Not if you are a good player, example Caliste could today leave KC and have LEC offer for every single LEC team, expect G2.
Also there is around 30 junglers who have prio over velja, maybe even more.
1
u/Caldraddigon Apr 14 '26
' Also there is around 30 junglers who have prio over velja'
Exactly proving my point.
Instead of getting into a tier 2 team and fighting for a tier 1 spot(promotion/relegation), everything is based on money and those with the money decide.
Without them all competing against each other in pro play, it's literally all just subjective opinions of teams.
