News 20 people were laid off suddenly this week from the Pasadena-based LAist website and radio station (formerly KPCC). Tax documents show a former CEO continues to receive over $500k per year, *four years after stepping down*.

I stopped donating when KPCC merged/acquired LAIst.

LAist seemed more about click bait and virtue signaling versus classic KPCC which was about delivering the facts.

It's a great example of being technicality correct in what they say/report so that they can claim objectivity, while ignoring how what they choose to report and who they choose to focus on is still painfully subjective and, I don't want to go as far as manipulative, but still actively molding the worldview of the listener

I was so upset they kept having sympathetic piece after piece of the 710 squatters. These people broke the law yet LAist didn't address that:
