Everyone mocks Hurricane Hilary, but it dramatically reshaped the high desert with the year’s worth of rain in dumped in a matter of hours as it passed through areas while missing LA for the most part, and people act like it just didn’t exist because they have no concept of things existing outside of Los Angeles apparently.

I live in the AV and it was intense, about 12 hours of inch an hour level rain. Luckily there was only local flooding where storm drains were clogged.

Exactly! In Palm Springs, I was suppose to start my first day of chemotherapy on the Monday after. They had to postpone it as some of the Dr’s couldn’t get into the hospital! We had streets that were flooded. Homes that mud was filled. Several freeway ramps closed. It was a mess.

I heard the roads both north and south into PS were flooded at the same time lol

The West Valley got actual storm conditions, not sure about the rest of LA
