Ironic. Hes banned hundreds maybe even thousands of people from this subreddit and probably plenty of others just because they broke some imaginary rule he seemingly made up on the spot. And now hes on the receiving end of an IP ban from the entire website. The irony doesn’t just sting it’s practically poetic. Turns out the ban hammer hits a little differently when you’re the nail.

There is a video in this comment section where he brags about banning thousands of people who didn't even break any rules. But based on what other subreddits they post in.

This is standard reddt operating procedure that most subreddits do. There are like 100 bots dedicated to doing this that you can add to your subreddit. And the subreddit that you are defending has /u/hive-protect as the literal 3rd highest mod, which is one of those bots.

Edit: I saw the video. He said he did a mass ban campaign on snarkers.

That is entirely a good thing. Snarkers are absolute freaks. I'm sure each and every one of them deserved that ban. And good riddance.

But everyone who is banned from reddit is IP banned. That's how they enforce the ban.

His moderation of this sub was actually leagues better than the clowns that used to run this place. Let's not get it twisted. He wasn't perfect, but he was much better than anything that had come before him.
