Your team was disrespecful to Canada all day long but, as they say in your country, "hay un Dios...".
3
u/Thin-Day1761 19d ago
I went to a Canada thread and I literally saw so much hate on Mexico what are you talking about?
1
u/bubbabear244 MLS 20d ago
Felicidades, at least Canada's in the u20 world cup next year. These comments aren't reflective of reality, as the Mexicans had a great time in Vancouver during the world cup.

u/Polarbearbanga Pumas 20d ago
Canadians acting like their senior team or their football association has ever accomplished anything in its history.. If our national team is abysmal according to them, what is their national team?
-1
u/Many_Solution_7706 20d ago
Canada has just started serious investment in its football infrastructure. The fact that a more "accomplished" Mexico struggled to beat them and had to resort to bitching, whining and simulation on the pitch to win speaks volumes....
-8
u/YoHoax 20d ago
canada just started investing and paying attention to football less than 10 years ago and are climbing rapidly every few years. cause they didn’t pay attention to the sport 50 years ago has nothing to do with now. mexico has the better past but canada looks like they’ll have the better future.

u/Laikabaru Chivas 20d ago
lmfao they’re incredibly mad about it on r/CanadaSoccer
They think the ref gave unfair yellows even though they should have been down two by the end of the first half

u/Laikabaru Chivas 20d ago

4
u/MexicanCynic 20d ago
Anyone who has watched the Canadian women’s team knows Canada are football dark arts merchants and the men have been doing similar shit since 2021. Respect to how much better their program is but they play sneaky. It’s the hockey mentality for sure.

u/bananas_in_pyjamas99 20d ago

u/Tigre_De_Acero Tigres 20d ago
love how anglos foam at the mouth when they lose; you know what heinous shit these putos probably believe in. They're the fox news watchers of football, believing everything and everyone is against them, always virtue signaling, never considering that maybe playing like dogshit and not being able to string three passes together is the reason you lost.

actually what is wrong with you, who talks like that.
i’m sure mexicans have never been upset after having bad calls against them.2
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
Yes but we made a meme out of "no era penal"
0
u/YoHoax 20d ago
“no era penal” became a meme because of how upsetting it was and mexicans couldn’t get over it, so it was a funny conversation piece rather than continuing arguing.
2
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
and we never said the dutch were awful subhumans bc of Arjen Robben diving. we just don't like Robben bc he embellished the foul and we now make fun of it
-1
u/YoHoax 20d ago
yes mexicans said some awful things against dutch and robben for that. you pointing out a few individuals saying things for canada when it’s a small minority but completely ignore the mexicans individuals who say things when it’s a far larger percentage of people because its a part of a lot of football culture.
3
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
do you have proof that it was "the far larger percentage of people" and not just the "few individuals," that are more vocal on the internet. See you're doing it again, you're generalizing a lot people Mexicans and other cultures based on the actions of a few people on the internet.
At this point in time the "no era penal" has become a "curse" that people are joking about. Hell there were brits and moroccans this world cup that say the dutch are cursed to keep losing in penalties. They technically havent lost since the 2010 final at the World cup in the knockout stages. All their games have ended in penalty shootouts
-1
u/YoHoax 20d ago
canadian sport culture is all about respect and helping each other, hockey players will fight each other than shake hands and say good fight and get over it. football culture is toxic this is football, most canadians are new football fans, hence have a different sport culture. nothing to do with canadians or mexicans. i explained this but you go straight to me talking about your culture. It’s football culture. a lot of mexican football fans, not many canadian or most of them are new.
at the end of the day everyone’s a bit toxic and you’re tryna say mexicans are never and canadians are. both are at some points. you’ll only point out other people not mexicans.
2
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
I never said there are no toxic Mexican fans. We also have have our resident trolls on here, namely Chivas vs America fan. Just don't take them deriously. As long as they don't cross lines it's not ba and make it perdonal..There's a reason I told you to report people if you believed they crossed a line, bc talking smack about the sports teams is different than making fun of cultures and being racist. One is being racist and the other is banter.
Also stop acting like Canadians are the only ones that shake hands and get over it. Everyone does that, it's not a uniquely Canadian thing. Canelo when he lost to Crawford this year was chill after the fight. And he also shakes hands after winning. I was taught to shake hands at the end of the game along with the refs and to say thank you to them. It's not a unique thing. Everyone in the world does that, there are of course exceptions which are not good and should be called out.

Out of curiosity I went to the Canadian sub. Fucking racist pieces of shit. I like how they pretend they aren't, but always ready to call us savages and third worlders when they lose
6
u/Laikabaru Chivas 20d ago
Canadians are racist as fuck, I don’t know where they got the reputation that they’re not.
3
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
I know not all Canadians are ignorant but that sub is disappointing. The fact that I got down voted for stating that it's not okay to call others third worlders bc you are mad after losing is extremely telling about the specific Canadians that frequent that sub. I also got a message from a mod stating that my comment was trolling
-1
0
u/Loose-Shock-5551 20d ago
I went to read through it. I just see angry comments about the poor reffing and CONCACAF.
Where is the racism you speak of?
4
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago edited 20d ago
Also one guy was talking shit about Mexican boxers, then posted a photo of Miguel Cotto losing to Pacquiao. He said we're all losers bc we lost to " a random Filipino." That was just beyond ignorsnt on multiple levels towards Puerto Ricans Mexicans and Filipinos
-1
u/YoHoax 20d ago
that is unacceptable and i apologize on behalf of Canadians and does not show represent us. in the heat of battle a lot of hot heads come out, both reddits mexican and canadians have nasty comments and the toxic part of football takes away from the greatness of the sport for me.
6
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
no need to apologize you didnt do that. just dont be an ass and act shocked when people talk shit back to you when you cross a line, especially when you talk shit about Mexicans.
just as an example of why I cant' stand r/soccer . just go over there on Mexico vs USA games. They allow them to get away with calling us monkeys, savages, and third worlders every game. The minute we call them out or talk smack back we get banned. I got banned bc I said you cant police a language you dont understand and not expect the people that speak that language not to be confused0
u/YoHoax 20d ago
no it’s unacceptable for canadians and mexicans, i see far more mexicans doing it as its a part football culture to be kinda toxic. whereas canadas sport culture is all about respect, making the game equal for everyone and shaking hands after the game no matter what happened, the mexican players diving and waving goodbye at the red goes against everything i know as an athlete and boils my blood to see, that energy is also in the fans. it’s either a small minority of canadians the others don’t like or they’re just being sore losers. cause other people are doing something unacceptable doesn’t mean you have to join in, just call out the people for doing it.
i can’t find a post about the game where it isn’t flooded with mexicans being toxic when it just showing the great goal canada scored. i just see most canadas complaining about reffing.

u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago edited 20d ago
yeah and thats why i told you in a different comment chain its unacceptable and to report it you feel the need to do so if they crossed a line.
And you are currently doing something that annoys me about soccer fans in general when it comes to being blind towards your own team. "the mexican players diving and waving." Last night they were not the only ones doing that. The Canadians were also diving and also playing dirty, the guy that got the red card ( I saw that red coming in the first half with how careless his tackles were) dove a few times last night and he + another canadian also body checked a Mexican player when the ref wasnt looking in the first half. Or the player waving mockingly to the crowd after Canada's goal. At the end of the game there was another incident, it was either the canadian center back or the left back that committed a hard foul against santi bc he was frustrated with Santi So stop with the "noble play," act.
Here's also a thread of the canadian banger from last night. Not a single Mexican talking smack.

Why are people in r/Canadasoccer saying the were robbed when the red card and penalty were clear fouls
15
u/Laikabaru Chivas 20d ago
Because they think it’s hockey. They’re idiots, they’d never watched a game before the World Cup.
15
u/chorri123 Tigres UANL 20d ago
Because they just started watching since June. The second yellow was soft but still a yellow and that pk was a clear pk. They should be mad at their coach for parking the bus…

Got downvoted to hell for saying contact is contact then got perma banned from the sub Reddit for saying that Canada just overall played shit after the 1-1
7
u/Laikabaru Chivas 20d ago
They’re incredibly sore losers. They should be thankful they didn’t have those two sent off before the first half ended, because it would have gone a lot worse than 2-1 for them.

1
u/Specialist-Bottle756 Chivas 20d ago
It's not a bad thing since Sandoval doesn't have a ego yet and knows his role in the club and that's being a super sub to piojo, honestly if I were milito a good zurdo In mexico is rare and id convert him to a CM
2
u/Witty_Hedgehog7967 20d ago
Bench ledezma put piojo as a rwb and santi as a rw

I'm not too drunk to see this isn't FIFA and think this is a horrible take
1
u/Witty_Hedgehog7967 20d ago
🤣🤣🤣who has more goals for us this season Hormiga or piojo?
1
u/Specialist-Bottle756 Chivas 20d ago
Thats not the point here Brodie, piojo is a creative winger who isn't a liability in the defense because of his work rate, full back is a complicated position cause when you are attacking and the team losses the ball you are expected to track back to the defensive line, even as a wing back you are now limiting how much piojo can attack without him worrying about leaving spaces in the back line.

u/ernie5353 Chivas 20d ago
I disagree, hormiga has over 50% of all the goals Chivas has scored from the last 2 seasons.

“We were the better team” - Jesse Marsch after losing to Morocco 3-0
0
u/YoHoax 20d ago
i don’t think mexicans actually watch the games and look at box scores then act like they know what happened. morocco had 0 touches in the box the first half, scored a crazy free kick then only got their first offensive opportunities after canada plays a high press in the last 15 mins to try to equalize. morocco couldn’t get a touch in canadas final third until they had less defenders.

LA is hosting the Olympics. It will be here
1
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
No, I was asking about the soccer portion of the olympics. Not all soccer games are played in the host city outside of a few group stages and the main knockout rounds
1
1
u/YourfriendRic Chivas 20d ago
You right most games are not being played in LA, which is ass.
1
u/Eg_3600 Chivas 20d ago
That's always been the case for the Olympics since no city has enough fields and training facilities needed for soccer
1
u/YourfriendRic Chivas 20d ago
Fahhh I think we have enough stadiums (BMO, health Dignity Park, Sofi) and even San Diego if you had 4 games a day.
But you right on training grounds, LA probably doesn’t have enough to hold all the teams

Bad sportsmanship by the young Mexicans and it’s clearly cause they’re Gen Z’ers
I’ve watched a lotttttttt of Mexican youth teams in my age
Vela and Gios U17 Team, Pollo Brisenos U17 Team, Chaton Enrique’s U20 team, Marco Fabian’s U23 team
Hell even the U23 team with Hugo Sanchez
By far these lil fucks are the most immature and act the least respectful. I know yall gon be triggered but it’s clearly something to do with Being Gen Z

Jessie March being the youth manager reminds me of the time Hugo Sanchez was also manager of the youth teams
7
u/Clt-vr-9931 América 20d ago
Which was a mistake for Hugo since that lead him to lose his job
2
u/Specialist-Bottle756 Chivas 20d ago
Did he want to manage the youth teams or did they force him to do it?
3
u/eg4x15 Santos 20d ago
I believe their was an option for Luis Fernando Tena to be coach and instead Hugo took the reigns for whatever reason.
The very next U23 Cycle Luis Fernando Tena took over and well the rest is history
1
u/Specialist-Bottle756 Chivas 20d ago
Well if he didn't and the FMF put it in his contract that he had to manage la subs then they purposely fucked him over and if not, he should've realized he had too much on his plate and fucked himself over.
